An interesting read I found on reddit : Why people who play D3 prefer it over PoE

From what i played of D3 it was good and did look alot better (to me) then PoE and i think this is why i only came back to PoE less then a year ago (i am a beta player) soon s i got in the game seen the gfx and tried some combat i just could not get into it

The desync is crazy and needs to be fixed in PoE the demo (end of first act only* i think) in D3 i did not desync at all even when i tried using the warriors leap slam skill to desync myself like it would in PoE it didn't

The drop rates in PoE are bad crafting something good is only for the top rich players because the stuff needed is so rare that normal people cannot do this
Trying to keep higher lvl maps up is hard since most maps that drop at low lvls

In a way i am with one of the other posters that i like warriors to be warriors (using swords etc) and mages being mages so i try to build around that and not make mage warriors using sword etc

I like both games and would play both games

PoE Cons :

- Have no good not even close to decent streamers but Nugiyen and Mathil
- Desync

- Did i say desync which never getting fixed
- Loadng Screen Deaths
- Poe Stopped Working Deaths
- Worst possible ingame item designs ever (this is intended to sell mtx)
- Worst possible drop rates ever
- Path of Trading (i get %90 wealth from trading not drops)
- Even i am buying a lot MTX, they are too expensive. Normal prices should be %50 off of their prices.
- Everything is GG with shavronne (not because i am poor, i had many 6L shavs and sold just 1 too yesterday i just don't like the concept)


Overall Diablo 2 LOD > PoE > D3

So how many streamers stream your beloved D2 LOD? Nostalgia is whats wrong with most gamers. No one can adapt to change and new things.

The only thing your incessant whining was right about was the shavs comment. They should just slap the CI 1 life stat on it but yeah, they wont because they love it when people run around with 10 auras on life reserve plus their mana to cast spells/attacks with. Worst designed unique ever in any game.

I didn't say anything about d2 lod stream relax and read again.

Topic is about d3 vs poe.
D3 streamers are better than poe except mathil-nugi.
It is not about nostalgia. D2 lod is unbeatable even for POE as we see.
Same applies Ultima Online.

With the Witch Start in Path of Exile? It's like, hey. Do you have >1,000 capped resist energy shield gear? No? Then the starting area is strictly suboptimal. Go play somewhere else, kid.

I freaking hate that every class has fifty auras up in PoE. I hate that the Templar is basically either identical to a witch or a marauder, which goes for every hybrid class.

Support Gems? Bah. The game would be more fun if they were effects granted in a skill tree. (We don't have a skill tree, we have a stat tree.):

"Your melee attacks have 28% more AoE" <- what Master of the Arena does, but ONLY for the Cyclone skill. Master of the Arena is a very weird stat node for giving so much power so specifically; an outsider alien type of thing completely out of place with the rest of the nodes. It's the type of thing you'd see in a Devilian/Titan Quest type skill tree.

It's rather painful watching the hoops they jump through to add new passive force multipliers (skills that increase your power passively, like minions/boofs/deboofs, etc) to the game. Arctic Armour's mana drain for example; why does that even have to be? So you can still use thirty thousand auras AND cut damage received down? Why is it aligned with Ranger-Shadow when its clearly a Witch skill? To make it slightly harder for an Int character to use, because that's who you'd want to use it on? Eh..

Grim Dawn is the PoE's real competence as God of War of Diablo 3.

Translation : D3 streamers arent dickheads and are much more enjoyable to watch.

As for me, Nugi and Willy are the only PoE streamers I watch occasionly. I like Zeno's music but I really dont like him and I really hate manocean and Rajz or whatever his nickname is.
