GGG please make a PvP system for us PvPers too.

The current PvP system caters to high end farmers/traders/RMTers with an interest in PvP. That is why PvP tournaments had only 20-30 players each.

Us PvPers don't really want to farm and trade for endless hour to be able to create a semi-competitive character. A character that 1) we may not like 2) might turn out shit 3) might get nerfed 4) will surely be out-geared by some who spent more hours PvEing or more money on RMT sites.

All we really want to do is create our character and jump straight into PvP without having any gear disadvantage.

The current PvP system is 90% PvE 10% PvP. If you want it to get taken seriously and become popular you need to change it to 100% PvP.
You're looking for the wrong thing in the wrong game.
Well I wouldn't say its a completely bad idea. A ladder for premade characters or a ladder for characters that use a combination of available set gems and gear might be really fun actually. A true display of pvp skill so to speak!

I mean at least for me designing builds and gem setups is the most fun part in pvp. Why not make it so that this part of the game was given to everyone in some form. Currently there is no point designing anything unless you got 100ex gear available.

Every thread, it's like the "fin" post, Skyforth - This would be fixed if pvp were segregated.


I'm not sure many people who currently LLD would want lld on a separate server or a gearless pvp. Lld gear is the only thing keeping me playing pve, otherwise I'd probably just quit playing out of boredom. I think lld gear farming and trading has kept a lot of people playing who would otherwise be inactive.

Quite the opposite for me. I can't stand spending 90% of my time farming and trading in pve, just so I can play pvp. I wouldn't pve ever if I didn't have to.

And that's pretty much why I don't play anymore. I can't afford to outfit new builds that can be competitive. That and the community is so small now that no one plays. It seems smaller than it was 6 months to a year ago. It's impossible to get any team games going now.

Before crafting arrived on the scene, I could outfit a top competitive player for less than an exalt. You could buy top weapons for 3 chaos. I even bought my 192 es chest for 2 chaos way back then.

Now you need bench crafted weaps, Elreon rings, and corrupted gear to be remotely competitive. I just can't be bothered with the grinding time investment anymore, especially when I get bored of my builds after a month. lol

Why play a game that's so pve-centered then firebrand?

I think GGG will never separate the two, because us fighting for gear on standard, farming and buying a thousand alts and regals supports the economy. I don't really think they should separate the two, but, either way it's not likely to happen.
