Mechanics thread

Yes, it will works as you assume it will, at damage taking step, not damage dealing.

To see the difference you can take a loot at The Taming ring, it says 'increased damage per chill, ignite or shock on the enemy'. That means your damage gets increased as with any other damage increase you have.

Taryn's modifies the damage an enemy takes, but it still doesn't make it a true multiplier, if your enemy is, for instance, shocked, damage it takes won't be increased by 20% and then by another 50% but by 70%. Still, increases to damage taken on the enemy are much more rare so that mod is much more efficient than the one on the taming.

i think part of me thinks that it would be interesting if there is such a thing around the shadow side . like 5% of the damage taken is redirected back to the attacker :p it's fun since physical damage hurts when u play shadow and one attack slips inside ur evasions XD

also i just like how many things this game have so i wouldn't mind more mechanics to be added to the game XD

I find it funny you say that when they just added a shield node between ranger and shadow that reflects 10% of physical damage taken.

With the smaller node above it you get 15% total physical reflect.

Does anyone knows if the game plays a block sound if you block a "no-stun" hit? I'm asking cause i've got myself a Rearguard Quiver and it feels like it is not working, i have lots of evasion and dodge so it's not that easy to test. Could anyone clarify that to me?

So I'm curious, ignite proliferation makes uses the AOE tag, I know you can then increase or decrease the prolif AOE with conc effect or increased AOE. But how about damage? Been hearing some different things.
Does AOE damage increase the damage burn does with proliferation?
If the Ignite was applied by an AoE Hit, yes.

Elemental Proliferation has an AoE, but it does not deal Damage - it's not the source of the Ignite. As such, EP alone will not allow Ignite to benefit from AoE-specific modifiers.

Also of note: Concentrated Effect grants generic More Damage, so it always applies if it links up.
How does lightning strike interact with physical projectile attack damage?

Does it work?

Yes, even better than on regular projectile attacks.

Lightning strike (and molten) is a melee attack that spawns projectiles, therefore projectile attack speed penalty doesn't apply to it, but its projectiles get the physical damage multiplier.

And being a converted damage attack, both physical and converted elemental part get multiplied.

So the ignite will deal more dmg only because the initial hit gets bigger then?

Obviously, you've never played Sacred :)
obviously this is not Sacred :)
Spoiler
I played first sacred btw
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.
Sorry if this question was already being asked before, but i couldnt find any info about socket links in dual weapons. If i have, for example, two 3-slot daggers, is there any way to make support skills from the 2-nd weapon to affect the first?
