Doomsower is for sure T1 or T2 now.

I might concur with that; I noticed that it wound up appearing for sale a LOT less than I'd expect in the temp leagues... And in fact is found less than Shav's on either Warbands or Tempest.

What about this thingy:

There's zero for sale in Warbands or Tempest apparently (or I cant do searching :p)
When night falls
She cloaks the world
In impenetrable darkness
To be honest, I have no idea how this isn't getting more attention that it is.

Basically every single decent unique has had it's rarity nerfed into oblivion.

Goldwyrm/Aursieze/Goldrim are all ridiculously rare now. I sold a pair of Goldwyrms 2 days ago for 1.5 ex. What the shit is that?

There are more Kaom's Hearts for sale than there are Carcass Jacks.

There are only 2 Divinarius' for sale at the time of this post.

There are only 5 Bellies of the Beast. 6 Lightning Coils for 5 ex each.

Maligaro's and Rat's Nest are ultra mega rare now as well.

Virtually every unique chest has been exceptionally rare. Most interesting unique items have also been made exceptionally rare

A lot of these items went from "I'm not likely to find these, but at least I can buy them with a bit of farming" to "There's no way I can realistically afford these and I'm never going to see them drop".

I'm not sure why it was necessary to make everything super rare now. On one hand I can see why you'd shuffle some around, but was it really super necessary to make every single decent unique drop in the windripper/shav's tier of rarity?

I mean, I think you'd have a hard time making a case that Divinarius was a super overused unique items and thus deserving of a rarity nerf.

The funny thing is that the patch notes say "The overall drop rate of Unique Items has been increased."
Looking at the available items on the market I say it's either bugged or it's just not true. It would be nice to hear from one of the devs clarifying it.
I think drop rates for uniques are in tact but adjusted according to item. Therr are a million kingsguards for sale on xyz for example
"The problem with scrubcore is that it is full of of scrubs"
- King Edward the Longshanks
Well yeah it seems like all the new uniques dropping like flies tbh. But items like Divinarius or Rats Nest are beyond rare. T1 uniques like Windripper, Mjölner or Shavs are even more common as it seems.
I'm really wondering what tier Doryani's Fist is. I'm thinking it might be T1 based on how few are up for trade.

With a new league ensuring that every item has been dropping for the same length of time, this could be a good way to measure the changes using my prescribed method.

Of course, the method's not perfect, as it can't QUITE account for outright demand as well as just supply. I'd probably try to figure out a way to weight it by price.

Simply put, it's not as popular to try to make money off of selling a Shav's, so while there SHOULD be fewer Shav's than, say, Carcass Jacks, the latter isn't as popular to try and sell vs. build around.

My first shot in the dark would be to try scaling the quantity for sale by dividing by the (square root) of the item's GOING price in exalts. (using an exponential scale like a square root means that it acknowledges the steep curve items go along)

Rathpith's a good deal harder to measure as it's a map-only drop. With the current problem with map sustainability, map-only uniques are going to have a MUCH lower presence than they have before.

By contrast, a lot of other items that can drop out of maps will primarily be yielded from Act 3 and Act 4 Merciless farm runs; Dominus (while bumped down a level) is still a REALLY big source for high-rarity drops.
