Enki's Arc Witch Memorial Page & POE 2 Arc Summary

Hi Enki,

This is the third season I have played Arc Witch., I love it!
I always get to about level 75-80 and end up stuck from either low dps or too squishy.
I also struggle with my full rotation/skill use as I'm still a novice gamer.

Any tips for me?

Thanks,
Rafflesiaa

Good one. I bought yesterday 21 lvl gems 0% first because were cheap and there was no gems 21lvl with 20-23%. If they were, the price was to high. I have around 13ex atm to spend.
Thx, Good idea im gonna look In trade market tommorow.
Still waiting for other ideas!

The gems you have at lvl20 0% you can use in a vendor recipe: the lvl20 0% + a gemcutter prism will give you a lvl1 20% of the same gem. They will level up pretty quick towards 20 again. Highly recommend this.

You need to make your character public so we can see your gear and tree.
I'm looking for some advice. I've played this build for the past few seasons, but always end up hitting a wall where I don't feel like going further. I'm still a fairly novice player, this is my first league getting into red maps and learning how to progress quicker into the Atlas. So still fairly inexperienced.

I'm wondering what I should be focusing on to progress. I'm starting to die more in red maps and bosses are taking too long to die, so my DPS is starting to lag behind. I know my gear is still fairly basic starter gear, but my resistances are so tight (I'm even at 72 of one of my resistances). So I feel like I'd have to completely redo my gear if I want to upgrade even one item.

Also I have a 5L Cloak of Defiance, but I'm already low on DPS, is it worth swapping my 6L chest for a 5L Cloak?

Swapping to a Cloak of Defiance will increase your defences, but you will do less dps if it's just a 5-link.

You're missing quite a lot of mana on your wands and other items.
Mana will increase your dps and your defence through Mind over Matter.

When I'm gearing up I generally try to look at the end result, and what room I have for resistances.
Once I've mapped that out, I try to buy my gear one by one with that end result in mind.
If I see that I can only have T1 or T2 resistances on my end gear, I try to buy gear that already has that (but is still cheap).
The other mods I fix over time, when I have the currency for it, but resistances are basic.

Open your browser and set up a few tabs on the trade site with a filter per item slot you need, and check once every hour to see if something cheap has popped up.

Once I have those items, I can freely swap to Cloak of Defiance, Crown, Omeyocan, ... without having to redo my entire setup.

I really don't know how to survive physical damage bosses. I kept getting one shotted by tier 15+ bosses.

We only have a few baked in defences against physical damage:
- Chaos golem (max up to 30% physical damage reduction with 5 golems and anomalous lvl 21 gem boosted by +2 spell skill gem mods on wands)
- Granite Flask of Iron Skin
- 15% attack block from dual wielding

You can further boost your survivability by getting:
- Omeyocan (20% attack and spell dodge)
- Quartz Flask (10% attack and spell dodge)
- Lunaris/solaris Pantheon

But for melee physical damage the best defence is flame dashing away from the boss or projected attacks.

As far as I can tell there just isn't a way to do so. I think getting a Quartz flask into the lineup might help but I have not tried it yet myself. I kind of run in two different modes:

Fast mapping mode - dying is okay but not ideal - only avoid elemental weakness, vulnerability, and no regen map modes. Having played the game enough I have a pretty good idea of which map bosses are likely to one shot and always place a portal before fighting.

Get another level mode - dying is not okay - avoid all of that as well a whole bunch of others, including but not limited to, -resist, add projectiles, crit mods, less recovery, less block, etc. I also skip a lot of bosses when doing this and am ready to log off if the fight isn't going well which to me means the boss isn't dying quickly. Also watch out for sextant mods during this mode, the physical mobs one and instant flask recovery are two that I avoid but mostly I would just not run with sextants.

With this build you just can't care too much about dying during a good portion of play. I am at level 95 and sitting just shy of 200 deaths.
Hi Enki, i just tried this build as first time played this game.

I have to say thank you so much that this guide made me understand as newbie players and impressed gameplay.

However, i would like to ask about syndicate from Jun, Veiled master of this build. Which one is good to do interrogate or bargain?

If you have a time to share from this one it would be very thankful.

Managing the Syndicate isn't really different for each build.
There are loads of guides and tactics out there to help you manage your syndicate, but I usually focus on:
- lvl 3 Hillock in Transportation/Fortification for 28% quality on weapons or armor
- lvl 3 It that Fled in Research to change Chaylula's Breachstone to a pure version (easy 1 ex in most leagues)
- lvl 3 Leo in Research for the free exalt slam (though less useful now that Harvest crafting is back in the game)
- lvl 3 Tora in Research to gain 200m XP on a gem (useful for Enlighten/Empower)
- lvl 3 Vorici in Research to get some white sockets on 6-link (either to sell with higher price, or to easily swap gems)

Other than that I usually try to get as many lvl 3's as possible in Intervention, to get gilded scarab drops.
