One shots are just going to happen with this build, large physical crits are hard to defend against. You really have to watch the map mods and it's a glass cannon build where dying just happens.
For some more defense, these boots and 30/30 gloves to try and keep mana pool high to absorb hits.
For more offense upping the mana pool helps but you should also look to get your gems to level 21. You should also look for wands with a lot more mana on them. You could try switching your anoint from Mind Drinker to Mana Flows and use catalysts on the amulet. Consider switching to Openness small clusters to pump up the mana pool as well. Consider Anima Stone (you only need two skill points for another jewel socket) so you can run a fifth golem. Get a Healthy Mind jewel to push mana up. When I went from ~3.5 life down to 2.8k and got the mana pool up to ~11k deaths decreased and damage increased but this is by no means a tanky build no matter what you do. You can get to the point where large mobs won't kill you very often because you clear them almost instantly but I have not found a way to avoid one shots from high damage dealers. When I run maps with Elemental Weakness it almost always involves dying a couple of times so now I always re-roll those.

Hadn't noticed that you didn't have Agnostic but it's almost essential unless you strangely have some huge amount of ES.

Yes, seconded. As long as you have decent mana recovery, Agnostic is nothing but helpful. People complain about the drain on mana, but would you rather that 1000 damage/second go toward your 4k life pool or your 8k mana pool?

Awesome! Thanks for the help. Do you know of any good guides for crafting good gloves and rings? I'm going to have to redo a lot of my res and I suck at crafting.
Looking to get started on obtaining Cluster Jewels. I see for the Large Cluster we want this:
*Disorienting Display
*Scintillating Idea
*Supercharge
*Vengeful Commander
*Corrosive Elements
If we get Corrosive Elements, that gives us 25% change to apply Lightning Exposure. With that, would we be able to drop Wave of Conviction? If so, what would be a good replacement for that gem?
Hrm..... I've been running with Shroud of the Lightless, and my PoB dps was at about 2 mil. Just bought a 5L Cloak of Defiance, and that brings me down to less than 1.4 mil. PoB says my mana regen is now 1342, while it was 1065 with the Shroud. with both, life is about 3.7k and mana is 5.5k. My resists are not yet capped, so the 10% Lightning from Shroud is helpful.
My passive tree is full except for getting the Cluster Jewels, so for awhile, I don't think I need Cloak's MoM freebie.
Should I just stash the Cloak while waiting for enough fusings to go for a 6L, sell it, or use it?
Edit: I should note that I also have a 6L rare... with that I do 1.9 mil DPS, mana regen is 1043, life and mana are 3.6k and 5.4k.

You really want a 6L Cloak of Defiance, the one you have is a little low on mana and you should divine it to get a better roll on that. What I did was save Harvest 5L crafts, be extremely careful that it's 5L and not 5 sockets and then when I had a pile of fusings I would give it a go and if it failed I could get back to 5. Make sure you quality it to at least 20% before attempting to link.

Focus on Disorienting Display, it is extremely helpful for survivability. After that it's Scintillating Idea and then after that I'm not sure the ranking but it's going to get expensive.

Ok. I'll work on it. I have only one Divine. Used it and now have 130 mana on it, so that's a little better. I've seen 2, count 'em, 2, Harvest nodes in maps this season....
