I just failed another A8 run recently, mainly due to two reasons:

* there is significant lagging, I often walk out of safety zone causing more Deatomization Storm, or just walk into deadly zones.
* the visualization of Meteor Maze always fail to render on my machine, and I had to rely on exit flares which are not easy to find route, sometimes easy to walk out of satety zone as well.

In the end there are too many Storms in the battle ground, I was not able to find good place to hide during phases.

A youtube link about me fighting A8 Sirus but died 4 times. (Asked for a carrier service after that...)

Any suggestions / helps are super welcome!

My fps is only around 7 in the fight, and around 30 in hideout.

My graphics setup:

I'm sorry to say this but at the frame rate you're trying it at you're just going to have to get lucky and it is going to be a very difficult fight. The entirety of the fight is just too bound up in the mechanics of the fight and you not being able to see them is a real challenge. The inability to determine where Sirus is would seem to be the biggest blocker, keeping an eye on that bastard and staying close to him is essential to being able to dodge things that are designed to delete you quickly.

I don't play many action games, usually just strategy games, and when playing with my prior graphics card and CPU I would often run into issues where the action stutters and I wouldn't move out of the way of something which lead to dying. Now that I have upgraded them a bit, still not to FPS standards for the GPU, getting a consistent framerate of close to 60 with medium and low settings has resolved a lot of those issues. For the mapping framerate it also seems that CPU can be more of a bottleneck than in other games, seems like there is just a lot of calculations being made about what is going on and that is separate from showing them on the screen.

7 FPS feels way too low for the fight. I recommend upping your "Target Framerate" for dynamic resolution significantly (I set it to 30). This might make your graphics look really blurry, but it's better to be able to see things happening than have a really choppy experience.

One other hack I'd read about, turn on the "Show Mini Life Bars on Enemies". With our crappy graphics, it helps a lot in finding the real Sirus when he does the clone beam, and in finding him in general.

Yeah, this fight is still difficult even with all the understanding of mechanics. I just try to see whether there is a chance to improve setup bit. It is weird GGG made the decision to create a boss with difficulty barred by machine quality...

For mapping I found my crappy laptop is quite OK though, as you mentioned CPU can be a bottleneck instead, while my current bottleneck seems to be GPU.

Thanks for the suggestion! Will try a higher Target Framerate to see how things get improved.

Will also try to see whether a Mac helps. Do you have windows installed on Mac, or are you running a Mac version of POE?

Honestly, I don't think having a Mac helps. If anything, I think POE is more optimized on Windows. That being said, I'm running the recently-released Mac version of POE since my nicest laptop is a Mac.
this says beginner guide but i have no clue on how to craft any of the items for end game..would love help on a crafting guide!

I have played for 2 leagues now and have no idea how to craft and barely a handle on all of the various mechanics of the game. I am sure there are crafting guides out there but it is an incredibly complex mechanic, that beyond a very few league start items, probably isn't for the new player.

So you saying that crafting is not new player friendly and that this build can be done using dropped items and little to no crafting?

I would say that it is a very easy build to get started on in trade league, I suspect it is much less enjoyable in SSF. As soon as you can you need to spend currency to get a trigger wand to automate the casting of desecrate and bone offering. The build has good map clear and good survivability which both allow quick gathering of currency with which you can take the build to higher levels with better gear. Each of the leagues I have played I have found a few items that work well with the build but most of the end game items I trade for. I don't know if there is someone out there crafting good items or if they are being found. Perhaps it is a mix where someone is trying to craft something else but hits good mods for this build and sells the item since they can't use it.

There are still good items out there but one thing I would suggest is to learn the build now, at the end of this league, and then use it to start the next league. The player base seems to be far more active the first month or so of a new league and that is when you have the widest availability of good items. Right now there are a number of items I would like to buy that were listed weeks or more ago but it appears that the person with the item is no longer playing regularly so now I can't buy it.

Plowing through the story quickly and getting to maps is what I intend to do next league. While I will never do it as quickly as those who take time off from work to play I think I can still get there quick enough to ride the wave of the market and acquire good items while they are most available.
