Just landed Katrina Necromancer Circlet first time ! very happy.

Quick tip... I think its worth picking up the prophecy "Kalandra's Craft" for about 1c. Wait till you kill Katrina, then you see her name in a box (like when you kill a syndicate member) BEFORE you click on her name trigger the prophecy now you have a chance to get 4 mirrored drops. Worked for me. At the very least you can unveil more crafts, or you might get lucky and hit something valuable x4

(just to be clear you can only get 4x rare items, not 4x uniques)

I’m not entirely set on boots/rings, and the tree will obviously be a bit different in order to compensate for the additional mana reservation.

Edit: I’m also looking into being able to use Archmage Support, but so far it’s way too expensive. I’m estimating about 80% mana pool per second. I get ~1000 from Golem and Fenemus’ Shroud, and I can leech 30% ES pool. Can anyone think of something I’m missing? If ES and mana are both at 4000, I’m still short ~1000, and I’d prefer not to have to dip into mana recovery due to MoM.


Just a heads up - you can't have staff with "+3 to all lightning gems" and "+2 to all support gems" in a same time, they are mutually exclusive. Learned it a hard way.

Though "+2 to all spell gems" and "+2 to all support gems" will work fine.

since we dont need a 6L staff its actually more worth to find one and buy it, prio 2/3 + lightning gem sockets, but if you dont find a decent one with at least 2 more good mods then just go for the best you can get with as much dmg and a suffix open so you can enchant it, then roll 6 sockets on it and 5L it. this is way cheaper than finding good mods + 5L on them or god forbid: trying to craft one....

first you need Life, your gear barelly has any so when you go for eldritch battery you are left with low to none survival, so dont spec it until you have a good HP base. so for now unspec the batery and Mind over Matter until better hp (3k+).

Any glaring issues or things I should prioritize when it comes to survivability? Yesterday I faced the Hunter the first time and miserably failed :D


i hate the hunter, freakin snakes always kills me when im distracted in the map. the boss is kinda easy'ish: nuke him early in the fight then run around a bit and finish him off. but my first time on him i strugled as well so nothing new XD

you got some nice pieces, hp + resists is good. once youre confortable with the hp and survival (tip: it will never be perfect and requires constant moving and adjusting) go all out on the dmg pieces like a good staff.

you can also farm currency on act 8 bridge map (you can youtube it and they explain how it works). it can net A LOT of stuff for as long as you have patience to run it for some hours.

Essence Rush is not working with this setup, I tryed it ingame and afterwards with Path of Building cause i didn´t notice the dmg and it seems not to work with arc connecting with mobs after first hit

his list of useful cluster gems is too big to pinpoint a perfect combo.

i guess it all depends on you playstile, i opted to go for with a couple fo life leech and es leech (they also come with elemental dmg/penetration) because i tend to go flame dashing like a maniac into packs of mobs and end up facetanking some and the leeching of both hp and es allows me some leeway when facetanking XD

one thing you should focus when choosing a cluster: pick one with 8 passive slots, 2 passives you want + a jewel socket. why a jewel socket? because you can then put a medium or small cluster there, i personaly advice a small cluster of 2 slots with a good passive you want. this is waaaaay cheaper than looking for one with the 3 passives you may want, but also allows you to put a good Eye later or a normal jewel with hp% + es% + some dmg if you cant get a good small cluster or a Eye.

cluster jewels will allow this build to feel better for diferent playstiles, you just need to find the ones that fit that role.
I will say after i got a 5l impulsas my clear and consistancy was much better in red maps.

the 3 crafted modifiers takes a bit to find so i feel impulsas ends up being a great farming tool to get there.

I am still a bit glass in the red maps with too many debuffs on maps, but i aslo have noticed how crucial the extra 10 percent on 20 quality of dash has been. it pretty much allows you to chain your dashes to never be on cd if you use it correctly.
