PvP Tournament Season One Starts this Weekend!

I will be bringing the bitches
Hoping next news won't be PvP related and we all gonna make a party...
Looking at the season page, I see that there are two separate seasons, one for EU and one for US. Is it possible to participate in both? Because I have played my character in both EU and US ladders simply by changing the gateway I login through, and have separate rankings in both.

I ask because I work odd shifts and so depending on the day I might find that either a US or an EU event falls within my playtime. How would points then be calculated? Would I have two separate points tallies, earning towards separate rewards? Would they be combined, and is that abusable? Is it even possible to do both at all, or is there a restriction of some kind?

Some clarification from GGG would be gratefully received :)

EDIT:
A separate thought that has been bouncing around my brain to do with Leo leveling. Currently, with ranking being character specific, it feels like the fastest and easiest way to farm experience with the new master is to create a well geared/speced char that can get some quick wins, possibly with some cheesy gameplay, and then when the winning gets tougher, simply recreate the character with another name, transfer the gear across, and smash out the easy wins again against lower ranked opponents. Repeat ad nauseam. This is both anti-fun for the player grinding, and anti-fun for the lower geared/ranked players that would repeatedly encounter essentially the same powerful character at a ranking level that is not appropriate.

A way around this would be to reward larger amounts of master xp based on ranking (either of the character, or of their opponents). This would reward players for getting better at pvp, give something for them to shoot for, and also match how the other masters grant more xp as you progress through the game and encounter them in harder settings. Thoughts?

What about the people with amazing gear? For any new player you will be destroyed. It won't even be a contest. The pre-made builds don't stand a chance to people with a decent weapon.

Been playing low level Bloodline pvp where people don't have EXTREMELY good gear. Even still, with just decent gear it's easy to be destroyed instantly. I can't image what high level pvp would be like for new players or even players who have never played pvped. I'm really curious to how this will turn out. I've heard people have mirror gear. Good luck to any new players trying to even stand a chance against that.

I want pvp to be successful. It just worries me the difference in power some builds may have.

Good luck to all of you out there. You'll need it.

Giving the whole pvp season a miss because it won't even be a competition with myself and other Australians forced to have 300 ping rather than have our own events.

Now races, which you neglected to mention, those are what I'll be playing.
Will the ability to join the Arena with pvp-only characters be fixed by then?

No, but the Arena is not necessary for any of these events. The fix for that is currently scheduled for next week. These events are joined by pressing "B" and selecting an event.

Blitz-Events sound to me like a bunch of dudes running triple doedres elixir discharge: whahahaha boom. maybe first some curses but there might be no time for that.. anyways pvp just isn't my thing, but since there are lots of people loving it, have an awesome time.
btw you gotta have a man mode version, melee only, no reave, no ground slam :D
Hey, hey! It's the Postal Dude! Get him!
i need to make a lvl 28 character or when we join got a free lvl 28? i dont get it yet ;/
my english sux.
You can use pre made created lvl 28 char, but its completly pointless cause you will only die and will never score even 1 kill - unless on some other pre-made char
