[2.1] Ethereal Knives MF Build. Effectively >90k DPS, >20k EHP, 300 IIR, 43 IIQ, Triple Blasphemy

Great build, but still im testing bladefall and ethereal knives... Dont know what is better :( I think bladefall but cast time of bladefall is little higher then ethreal and ethereal get more range then bladefall. What you think guys? What is better for this build

it depends on your own preference of skill, i would say both are pretty good, but in my opinion EK is safer and deal as much dmg as BF
I am too leveling a new character and trying this build. Regarding the leveling process, I'm using tabulsa rasa with

BF > Added Fire Dmg > Spell Echo > Controlled Destruction > Concentrated Effect and...

Mana leech, so I don't have to worry about mana. So far so good. I did kill Merveil Cruel in less than 15 seconds (aproximately). I believe I will be able to drop this gem soon enough when I get some mana regen nodes.

Thank you for sharing the build. I'll post some feedback as soon as I reach endgame and start doing maps.
[Update January 21, 2016]:

I tested a new variation of the build today which brings Enfeeble to 45% less monster damage, but even more importantly, Temporal Chains gets pushed beyond the cap of 75% less monster speed (for this, a level 4 corrupted Enhance is needed). Although I lost some ES, the build feels insanely tanky now. (Think 7k * 1/(1-0.75) * 1/(1-0.45) > 50k.)

Could you please elaborate on this change? What did you change on gear/passives/links?
Looking at starting this build and this made me very interested :)

Thanks!

For this change, I just had to recolor my wand (G-G-B), obtain a level 4 corrupted Enhance (I got mine for 10 Ex), and reallocate some passives (Skittering Runes instead of a few ES nodes). Moreover, in order to preserve enough mana, I'm now using only a lvl 14 Clarity (but due to the newly taken 40% mana regen node, my mana regeneration rate stayed the same).

You can find my new tree and gem setup here:

Great guide. I leveled a witch using this guide, level 71 as of now, and so far I'm really liking it. Granted I'm doing it on a very budget build (4l Solaris, with about 220 IIR and 0 IIQ as of now). I leveled the entire time using EK and have been farming dried lake since I got to act 4 merci with good success.

However I must note that I have found swapping out bladefall in place of EK, even without changing the talent tree that you posted, has yielded better results. I'm clearing much quicker as I'm not having to get as close to deal damage, and consequently I've seen an increase in my survivability. Doing it this way doesn't really apply the curses though, as I'm too far away, so maybe that defeats the point of the build. More playing with it will show more I suppose.

My only question would have to refer to the bladefall usage. With this build/talent tree you provided for bladefall, would it need to be a more close-ranged bladefall style of play versus the nearly off-screen bladefall I've been doing? Or will the curses get further distance the more talents I get to allow that to happen (as I'm not full build yet).

In any case, I really appreciate the build. This is exactly what I was looking for: A self-cast, witch-based MF build. I'm saving to get a 6l shavs, pretty close, and I think that'll really improve my play.

Thanks for this guide!
Hi, I heard that Shav is being nerfed in the next patch when Ascendancy comes out. Rumors or truths

I highly doubt that. What could they possibly nerf about shavs?
Will be there update for Acendancy? I really would like to keep playing this build.
Hey! Yes, I will most definitely update the thread. Could take a little while though, since I'll be abroad for ten days when the patch hits.

In any case, there is still a lot of uncertainty involved regarding which Ascendancy class might be optimal. So far, I think decent choices would be Occultist, Trickster, and Deadeye. Out of these, Occultist seems best at the moment, but this will largely depend upon the upcoming curse rework (if any).

However, maybe the best option will be Scion with Berserker and probably Occultist(?) specialization. Scion Berserker is really awesone: we can drop the Life Leech support for around 35% more damage (e.g. when using Empower lvl 4 instead). And it comes with 10% more damage built in. Two more skill points and +40 Strength do not hurt, either. I'll level up my Scion just in case.

I'm looking forward to any other suggestions regarding Ascendancy classes. For example, going crit with Assassin might be an interesting option as well.
