Hard to believe it is 90% self found when you have a 6L Splendour, 6L Soul Mantle, 6L Daresso, Rumi's, Taste of Hate, decent bow, Gifts from Above, Legacy Goldwyrm, Legacy Perandus, 2x Ventor's Gamble, 2 60%+ Rarity neck, Divination Distillate, Rat's Nest, Maligaro's, Legacy Lightning Coil, 4% spell block lazhwar, etc.

That is some really insane luck. What IIR/IIQ do you have?

You are playing on standard, it would take 15 chaos to get a better setup than you have now on your ranger...

Hello. I sent you a PM. Like i said, 90% is self found. Only Disfavour i bought [for more than 10ex].

Thanks a lot for the updated build guide, Grocery. I followed your TS guide back in Warbands and I had a blast. I am giving it a try again in Hardcore now that there are changes to reflect and life leech.

I do have two questions for you:

1) Why did you not take Force Shaper? It is one intelligence node away, and provides arguably better bonuses then Heavy Draw. The 5% chaos seems to be the biggest benefit, and it would be improved with the Phys/Chaos nodes that you recommend taking.

2) What are your thoughts on Nullification? It seems like a very good node, which could be picked up by dropping the two final Eva/Life nodes. You would lose 3% life, but gain 9% evasion, 15% ES (useless) and 8 all res. I am not sure if that is a good trade off, but I wanted to hear your reasoning behind not taking it.

Thanks a lot for any input! I am mainly concerned with Force Shaper. That node just seems way too good to pass up.

Great to hear. Good questions as well!

1) Force Shaper IS viable. My only issue with it vs Heavy draw is we already take the dex node before it and we take the first point as well due to deadly draw. All in all we save 2 points by going heavy over force. As such, I think there are times when Force Shaper is better and times when it is not due to what points you have available. It also helps that Heavy is in the middle of our pat while Force Shaper is a dead end. I'd say Force Shaper as a late game addition is a good idea.

2) Nullification is interesting. It suffers from having to travel through an ES/EVA node before it. if you NEED the resistance to cap, Nullification is a great way to do it and lose less life than taking a pure eva/ele res node. I find nullification as a good way to cap when using lightning coil and you still want to run a few uniques.

All in all, both nodes have their use and there are pros and cons. I wouldn't think they are bad by any stretch, but they require certain requirements to be "optimal"

You can and SOMETIMES you should. If you are using a ridiculous bow, you want to take Vaal pact and more leech. You do not want to 1 shot yourself off screen!

If you do take Vaal Pact I highly recommend taking Blood Dance so you do not have to run Blood Rage. Blood Rage + vaal Pact = Death when you least expect it due to no life regen. If you take VP, take off some of the life regen nodes near the duelist life area, as they are now wasted.

Of course, with VP you can self cast frenzy every 13 seconds, but that can get tedious.
