Bonus points for new guys who haven't deleted any characters yet. You're welcome for my support making it possible for you to play Path of Exile.

All of what I stated was 100% valid. True HC players know this.

Take care

I have played hardcore for 99% of my time spent in POE, I also support the game (a lot, on 2 accounts!) and what you are saying is complete BS bordering on trolling, good riddance.

It makes absolutely no sense to have a shared prize pool if you want to try and promote both the softcore and hardcore part of the game - and I do believe GGG is trying to promote their game and get new/more players.

Your experience would not be diminished by having separate prize pools (as you obviously don't care), but its quite apparent the experience of others (including myself) would, so why not just support this instead of spewing forth your HC superiority BS?
Im so happy right now :') .

Best game ever.

If the price pool is split between both modes, what would change? (assuming a 50/50) - people would try to 'profit' from the lower population in HC (less participation, risk of death), people eho would (maybe) NOT play this mode otherwise. (HC addicts stay in their world, anyways). BUT: are people who just only hunt for the rewards really the ones who GGG' promotion is aiming for? Are new attracted (or to attract) players really the ones who lament about rewards? Or 'shouldnt' these start with gaining some experience first on how the game works and all this?

HC mode in an attractive (good) game NEEDS no 'extra' promotion, IMHO. Its either attractive in itself, or YOU're not that true HC as you claim. :D

100 of the 6 packs of Stash tabs awarded. Should be a piece of cake (or pumpkin pie) to get to level 20.

Hmmm. With all my tabs being premium I wonder if the GGG stupidity of converting remove-only tabs means I'll get 6 of my premium remove-only tabs converted and downgraded to regular full use tabs. What a f'ing mess GGG has made with this converted stash tab crap.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

The perfect solution to fix Trade Chat:

So, my question is, how you guy know that people enter the race is the same person?
It based on IP address, or MAC address, or local IP?
For example, I live with my brother, and we have 3 computers, mine, my brother's, and my dad's (my mom's pc is too week for this).
So I think technically, you can't say make it fair this ways:
-Chris say that it's fine if I and my brother play, so it can't be restricted to IP, because i and my brother share same network.
-So when I use my dad's pc for enter the race, you can't say for sure that it's me or suddenly, my father got interest in POE and start playing with the race? Do you use some sort of history check on account?

I asked this not because i want to joins many times, but the fact is:
-I buy alot of stash tab, because i have a job, and my brother can't cause he's poor. So i don't need stash tab, my brother do, so he will do the race with his account.
-But me, i need new mule char, for dual client farming, and i think i'll attempts to joins with a new created account,

So, how do I avoid to get disqualify, me and my brother always play legit, but we need to know how to avoid being punish by mistake.

Of course, we play in 2 differences PC, but what if i accidentally log in my brother's pc with my account?

So we are in agreement that a separation of (level) prices might mean that more people would try HC and who knows, maybe they would stay and become HC addicted. Can we agree this would be a good thing as well?

Again, having separate prices will in no way interfere with your HC elitism but may bring more players to HC, with absolutely no negative effects for pure bred HC elitists who only stand to gain (think: more players to sell your medicore gear to).

I agree that HC in a 3 month league or in a permanent league does not need extra promotion, but this is a 1 week league and one of the perceived goals of the league is to get to level 70 so you can be in the draw for all prices.... which will be much easier in the softcore league for most players.

This... yet another good reason for split prize pools, on top of all the other ones posted already.

I'd say its more like an 'anti-elitism' here... ;)

I "agree" that its obviously easier to reach a certain goal (level) in standard than in HC; this will _ever_ be the case...

On the other hand, I dont see a reason in this that would cause people switch over to HC (and even more, stay there) - and even less for people that just start playing (which would be the significant ones to be attracted to increase the players base!).

Just a theoretical comparision: take 100 rewards as a whole, and then split them 50/50: less chances to 'win' in softmode -> probably less interest and participation there... and in harcore, how "big" may be the chance for the tryout people? -> less interest (to switch) too. Now, additionally 'separate' the new players: no (significant) risk in softmode; how big may be the 'chance' to fail and frustleave from HC and never come back? In HC you have to know what to do and expect (same but even more as back in closed beta, when I 'switched' to HC after a half year... now I'm nearly done with this mode...) ^^

Indeed, it would be good if it would have a positive effect of the players base; but I dont see why this change should cause that increment.
