Seriously though, I didn't feel robbed or anything because of the cheater. I thought I lost the #20 spot due to my own mistakes. Neat to see GGG do something though.

Well, in my eyes you earned it as opposed to cheating your way to a victory.

In PoE, a sense of earning is something I value most.

Likely from what unsane described in recent related thread: Statistics.

A player pulling off top 1% zone rush times and/or blue:white kill ratios in every single zone across every event they run is going to be pretty far outside the statistical norms of other top racers, and with 10 seasons of data to draw from, most of those norms are going to be fairly well established.

There are other, somewhat less obvious stats that can also be used similarly, but since the player in this case was too greedy or stupid to modulate their cheating, there probably wasnt any need.

then how would you explain last season's hacker not being banned?
