I play a duelist cyclone (Soul Taker - Varunastra) build and i would like to ask since i dont use the block nods which ascendancy class should i use? Champion or Gladiator?

I managed to run a few phys reflect maps in my phys to light conversion state, it helps to use faster attacks over phys proj as well to gave smaller faster hits and make reflect less dangerous. The maps were still far too dangerous to really justify doing so it wasn't terribly worth it. For ele reflect I'd drop the phys to lightning and not run hatred. Again, doable but hardly justifiable.

80+ maps weren't too bad for me and if you really need I'd recommend going life gloves/helm instead of the choices I made. You'd still have good enough dps I imagine and be much more defensive. As for Uber, I think it's totally doable but I wouldn't really bother with it beside trying to get it down for a challenge. Far better/cheaper uber builds out there these days if that's the goal.

I have done a couple of t10-t12 twinned maps with no problem. Sitting on 4k hp with coil atm, but my dmg is way overkill (65k sunder on 5 link) so I probably should speck out of some and get more HP instead.

Is the minus mana cost on skills needed for the vms build. Or is it just a nice to have sort of thing?

I'm keen to get a scold's + VMS character going next.

I'm just curious how big you think the elementalist class is for the build? I've toyed with the idea of going ascendent with berserker subclass, and then either the raider, pathfinder, or assassin subclass (I'm gonna go crit I think). Seems like there could be some useful stuff to be had there. Is the elementalist mainly for aoe from Beacon of Ruin, or just the damage/utility that conflux gives?

Was also curious if you think sacrificial harvest/chill of corruption (assuming ele conflux) are necessary/useful for keeping vaal molten shell up permanently?

what do you think best enchantments would be for a ST varunastra build?

should i just go for attack speed on boots, ST damage on head (or maybe the other ST ench) and something random on gloves (dont really know which one)

or should i go for the more defensive setup since this build already has huge dps?
what do you think?
