I can only hope there's some sort of Unique that only drops in this map to make it worth the risk in HC. Something with a unique effect otherwise not possible with current gear. Even then I would question the risk:reward, but perhaps that's simply due to fighting 5 'Grandmasters' shown in the video. If they space out more it would certainly seem more do-able.
I also have to wonder how flask re-charges will work. I assume killing a Grandmaster will provide a full re-charge. If not some sort of re-charge stations after a given interval of fights would be cool. Designing Cospri's Will: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1665314

OMG that fight looks sweet. I hope i can make a character that kills lots of people ;) And is very diffrent from others.

" I knew someone would bring this up. Elemental mitigation is not limited to Ranged play-styles. Also, maybe you don't die to Physical much in PvE, but against GrandMasters, a lot of them are guaranteed to do obscene amounts of Physical Damage, since most player builds (currently) revolve around Physical Damage. |

A promotional video with that amount of screen freezes, hitches and massive fps drops would have been somewhat humorous back in closed beta. Now its just cringeworthy.
Its great that youre finally acknowledging the issue here and claiming youll have it fixed before the content in that horrible video is released, but considering exile strongboxes, coc builds and other unoptimized content has had similar problems for years now, it seems entirely likely that fixing it isnt actually possible on the current engine, or that such an undertaking is simply beyond the skill/experience level of your current team. Anyway, good luck finishing the map and heres hoping my misgivings are completely wrong for a change, and that the associated patch pulls off a miracle and lays all of the games major longstanding performance issues to rest. So... just puncture them and run in circles? I haven't seen the AI lead well, so unless you're dealing with a RF char that turns off RF they'll just bleed to death running after you...

this entire GM map is getting *better and better*..
it was a mighty clever ploy to get big money from people that like to wave their wallet around - it addressed all the correct character vices and virtues sadly POE engine is not able to cope with it EVEN in lab conditions i totally expect a bandaid fix (or an explanation why game looking like poe requires 12gb ram to run) btw - this entire map is pretty much a question that already has an answer: will the first and only build to complete this map be a 'crit puncture using harbinger bow with obscene crit multi'? btw2 - it seems that idiotic mechanics that most of these builds are build around are there to stay, youll not risk pissing of people that donated that much cash for something like 'balance' or 'game integrity'.. but maybe you should. check how well catering to small group of no-lifers ends (season 9 participation says 'hi') |
