[2.5] Tempada's Dreamfeather Lightning Flurry Raider: Acro, Alpha's/Blood Dance/QotF, 200k+ DPS

Could you use dual call of the brotherhood to convert all your lightning to cold, then use cold steel jewels to scale cold damage in the ranger/duelist area instead of crossing the tree to the templar area. Hey, it's a cool idea. I've been eyeing Cold Steel for a while and it should work great in two spots on the tree, but I wouldn't go with Call of the Brotherhood. It's too much of a sacrifice to use two of those rings, and it's better to stick with one type of elemental damage if you can, so using one ring for half conversion isn't terribly beneficial. Plus you miss out on Amplify (a big deal for Cleave or Ice Crash if you like those skills) and some great life and elemental nodes over by the Templar start that don't require any use of jewels.

Some notes for that tree: take two leech nodes (one life, the other mana/life), Fangs of Frost is inefficient unless you need to pass directly by it anyway, and don't take Vaal Pact.

Hey, sure, you can use Wildstrike. It's pretty fun, although it's not the best skill when it comes to clear speed. I would give Lightning Strike a try, or Frost Blades (should be great with the upcoming Deadeye Ascendancy class and its Ricochet node) if you don't like the way LS works. Ice Crash is solid too, although it's harder to manage in reflect maps. I personally think Cleave is the best right now, at least once you hit Amplify on the skill tree (it might be tricky to level with in comparison to the other skills since its AoE is small).

In short, Lightning Strike, Frost Blades, Cleave, and Ice Crash are all good skills to use. Cyclone and Wild Strike are fun but less effective.

Im currently lvl 68, I use lightning strike but plan to give Cleave a try when i get that special node soon :)

Edit: Btw, what would u recommend to link with Lightning Strike, considering I use a 5 link and not a 6 one ? My current links are LS + Faster Attacks + Added Cold + WED. Im using double dreamfeathers btw, cant afford a soultaker.

Are you using Multistrike yet? That's what you want next.

LS + Added Cold/Added Lightning + WED + FA + Multistrike

So with Ascendancy coming out i figured i might try Trickster Dreamfeather Cyclone mostly for free Cyclone and also free 500 evasion rating attack speed dodge and all the goodies. New 100% increased Evasion flask will be nice dps boost aswell. My question is what links would you recommend for Cyclone im thinking Cyclone - WED - Faster ATtacks - Added Lightning - Added Cold - Elemental Focus (new).
Also i'm torn between QoTF and Hyri's IRE - even without Hyri's you get Spell Dodge cap with Atziri Steps + Vaal Grace and get to 73% regular dodge so im thinking QoTF will be just better.
Also what would you say is the most important on jewelery - evasion rating , WED , flat lightnig dmg ?

There are a few ways to go about it. If you stack lightning damage, I'd use Cyclone + FA + WED + Added Lightning + Lightning Penetration/Added Cold + Concentrated Effect. Elemental Focus is awesome, but I'm not sure if it's worth losing the ability to shock/freeze here. You could try it in place of Concentrated Effect so you don't lose AoE.

Something to consider with Cyclone: it doesn't feel all that good, at least to me, unless you have a lot of AoE or can spread burning damage (Herald of Ash + Increased Burning Damage + Elemental Proliferation + Increased Area of Effect). AoE with this build, if you don't want to sacrifice damage, is ok, but nothing special. And burn prolif isn't the most efficient thing to do here since stacking fire damage scales best with high physical damage (see Added Fire and Herald of Ash) and Dreamfeather works better with flat elemental damage. Maybe there's a reliable way to freeze enemies around you with Herald of Ice and Elemental Prolif, but I think the AoE is smaller than that of Herald of Ash.

I don't say this to dissuade you from playing Trickster Cyclone; I think it will be a lot of fun! I just want to make sure you're aware that Cyclone is not the most efficient skill to use with Dreamfeather. In my experience, Cyclone clear speeds are lower than Lightning Strike, Cleave, or Frost Blades (well, or Ice Crash, but Ice Crash suffers from reflect issues). On the other hand, you can easily use Dreamfeather x2, so your damage will be higher than usual (without the Trickster class you need to use Soul Taker in your off-hand for Cyclone). Plus you get to use Herald of Ice/Thunder instead of Arctic Armour since AA is mostly pointless with Cyclone.

QotF is just so much fun, and it will certainly get you around the battlefield faster, so that's what I usually recommend. Hyrri's might be worth it in a build that stacks cold damage, though (I'm tempted to try it with Frost Blades, the Deadeye Ascendancy Class, and the Ricochet node for chain +1).

Evasion is easily least important; you'll get plenty of that from your armour, Grace, Dreamfeather, and the tree. Try to get both WED and flat elemental damage on jewelry, but of course that's not always possible, so either one is fine.
