I can do legacy 78 maps. I've only found one level 78 map in the Awakening, and I haven't run that yet.

Hey there, quick question about Frost Blades.

If you tried it out what was your DPS?
If I was to go with one of the tree you made would it be better to go with a Dreamfeather or
some kind of ele sword for flat damage or would daggers be better for overall Crit DPS?

Right now with my current level 95 character and tree in the "My Character" section on the front page (which isn't necessarily ideal for Frost Blades, although it works well), Grace + Wrath + HoT, and lvl 19 Frost Blades (no qual) + Added Lightning + Faster Attacks + Multistrike + WED + Blood Magic (so two Dreamfeather instead of Dreamfeather + Soul Taker), I get a tooltip dps of just over 45k before any other buffs. My Dreamfeathers haven't been updated to the new buffed ones either, so damage can be higher than that at my level with decent gear.

I think sword is better than dagger for Frost Blades because there are a bunch of nice sword and crit nodes in the Ranger/Duelist area, plus you'll get more range. As to whether or not Dreamfeather is better than a nice elemental sword... It depends on what you're looking for. They're different. With another sword, I would take fewer evasion nodes on the tree and probably use Daresso's Defiance or Lightning Coil instead of Queen of the Forest. Better survivability with another sword and those other chest options, but you lose out on movement speed (though lots of people don't care about that with Whirling Blades) and the build will be more cookie-cutter. Dps should be higher with Dreamfeather if you go non/low-crit, but in a crit build, you should be able to get better dps with a high crit sword.

For a flat elemental damage build? With Frost Blades specifically? I wish I had one or two to try... My hunch is that you would need weapons with the "increased elemental damage with weapons" mod, high flat elemental damage, and a higher attack speed than Dreamfeather to do much better. You'd probably drop Grace in favor of Anger, and that also means you're more susceptible to reflect damage.

The thing is that Dreamfeather allows you to increase your damage with the frenzy charge evasion bonus next to Fervor on the tree and with a Jade Flask (on top of your already high evasion rating), and I feel like it's hard to compete with that potential if we're talking non-crit.

Would it be worth dropping dps for max Dodge or just go big or go home with 68% Dodge (10 frenzy, acro, daressos, dodge jewel)? Because I would be using dual tiger hooks to go max but they have lower attacks speed than dreamfeathers but higher base dps. Fevor may end up being the deciding factor seeing as im aiming for 10 frenzy charges. But I'll try to get a character started and see what goes from there.

I wouldn't bother with max dodge. Dodge is great, but you can always use Vaal Grace if you want to max it out.

Looks good except for Faster Projectiles. I'd leave that out and get some increased projectile speed on the tree instead.

I think im going to have to trim that tree down quite a bit. Going to use daressos just because the life and end charges.etc still going to use dreamfeathers unless i can get 2 aps ele foils. going with karui ward for more proj speed+dmg corrupted with 1 fenzy along with darkray +1 frenzy

Some advice: consider leveling Lightning Strike (it will work with the projectile nodes you plan to take), Reave, or Ice Crash alongside Frost Blades in case you don't like it in the end. Also, it seems like some builds are using Frost Blades for mobs and a different skill for single targets. That's unnecessary with the damage my character is capable of, but without more evasion on your chest and at lower levels, you might want to work on a single target skill too, something like Dual Strike if you stick with two swords.

Will you stack flat cold damage on your gear? Let me know how it goes!
