I was thinking about some cool helmet, I also wanted to show his face and give more character to this guy. But I have to admit I love how coif looks in general :D

I really like it, good job & kudos. One thought thou: I don't know if it has been mentioned already (haven't read every reply), but whenever i think of a PoE Marauder, i also relate it with long hair and facial tribal tatoos; maybe you could add some of that and see how it works out.

Tom7i- you absolutely right and I did add some tattoos on the face, as for long hair is a bit tricky, I want this to be low poly/ game asset so long good looking hair is rather hard to pull off :/ so I went with shorter hair and the coif :D

overall his face and skin shader is far from done :/

agreed, the in-game marauder has a much darker skin tone but this is your vision of a marauder, nothing says it has to look exactly like the one marauder from the game, I don't recall reading anywhere that marauders were all clones, so nothing wrong with being creative :)
looking forward to seeing the final version!
any plans afterwards for other game characters or are you just doing this one because it is your favourite?
