i tried and played it till 90 in beyond.
never enjoyed a melee build that much.

The purpose doesn't need to be an end game build, there are a lot of uniques out there that help with leveling and are great for it.

Ziggy's ring for example will be a fantastic leveling item and you won't create a build around it.

If you refer to the guide, you will find the answers to the question.
The build has 1600 armor, nearly armourless character. You run onslaught maps with hasted auras. When double haste is combined with the right mobs, you take suprise bullet shield charges/rhoa charges/leap frogs. But the biggest danger is leaping in a canyon/gorge with high damage and leaping into 20 underground crabs with phys reflect. The idea is to eventually get Abyssus and use LC to counteract the increased physical damage taken. On top of that, you don't always have immortal call up, and you don't always have to run IC you can run around with just 7-8 charges for roughly 40-45% phys reduction before LC.

TL:DR, You're not ALWAYS going to have phys immunity up. There are multiplicative elements that can line up and end up in your demise. Lightning Coil is an excellent chest piece for armourless characters!

Exactly what I was thinking. When you have a 20something second Immortal Call, why would you need MORE phys mitigation? What you need is a way to deal with spells and chaos damage, of which I see none in this guide.


253 life regen, high life returns on life leech, enfeeble (curse of choice as it works with chaos degen auras and reducing damage/damage intake) 37% passive block chance 71% with rumi's concoction, on top of 20% spell block from rumi's. Vaal immortal call grants 21 seconds of cannot die. Soon to be 25seconds + with additional charge and +1 boots or lvl 4 enhance.

Shrine piety is a joke compared to the beyond bosses.

the knockback from heavystrike naturally will take you out of her lightning storm, immortal call for fire form, ice form Vaal IC if you have the souls or just LoS.

Rumi's concoction will also give 20% spell block. Its not consistent, but can help in a pinch.

Giving EE to a specific skill at the cost of other res getting lowered sounds like something to build around if you ask me.

That's true, I put it incorrectly - it will be build enabling and also interesting for low level dueling. The point I wanted to make is about the design intention. If I remember correctly Ziggy wanted a leveling unique and not a unique to build around.

EE was the consequence of the iterative process and this is a prime example how iterative design shines over old school processes: the result is much, much cooler than the initial plan.

Nice and all but hey ho look at that multistrike and faster attacks...Wish these were not the best in slot gems you got to use to make melee viable. But I sound like old broken jukebox again, stuck on that one song.
