2.3 Fakener (budget fake Mjölner) build - Trickster Version

the skill tree looks like scion's, not shadow's
Whats the downside to starting with shadow?
Struggling to get the colours on a 4l voll's probably hit the 6link before i hit the colours haha

Who is your favourite SNSD member? Personally, I like Seohyun.
I have no idea how to link my gear, but im getting really stressed with the fact that even mobs in tier 1 maps keep 1shotting me, probably because I don't have all the ES nodes yet, and the fact I still need to Regret 10-11 points from following the old build.
Any suggestions would be great.
I came across this build guide from randomly watching a youtube video and I had a couple questions, sorry too lazy to read 110 pages of replies. :(

How important is a vagan dagger? Is it 100% necessary or just recommended?
The video suggested crit multiplier on the amulet while also noting that Voll's is BiS, would Marylene's Fallacy do well enough?
Is attack speed necessary at all or is it detrimental to the build in any way?

I wonder because the marylene's has good crit multiplier as well as some additional accuracy and if I don't have a vagan dagger this might be well enough? I would test this out but I am at work and won't be off for another 6 hours also I don't have a 5 or 6 link Voll's.

This is what I have in my stash. Workable or change my focus? I'll aslo point out that I am not expecting to just jump right in and start farming ubers. I just want advice if you think this is enough to get me started.
Spoiler
Some gems I have in stash and in mind for later testing.
Spoiler
You think I could use this as a placeholder 5 link until I get my Voll's socketed and linked?

How important is the rolls on the dagger? Cause its very hard to find a dagger that has crit on it so i can craft spell damage. Most of the ones on sale are like 1+ exalts and the mods they have are useless.

P.S If anyone has a vagan dagger they could sell me in SCTAL id really appreciate it!!!

I used a dagger with 8.87% crit with no spell dam, my damage was fine. I can sell u it for 1 ex :)

You already messaged me about my voll's protector, so you can just see the dagger when you have time, see if u want to buy that also :-)

GEAR
Spoiler

I'm currently leveling this build in THC. It's extremely risky, I wouldn't recommend it to everyone.
You can see the gear I'll use in a near future ( let's hope ) I crafted the dagger myself ( still need spell from master I know)
Total costs of gear in HC might be 2ex at the current state of market.

I'm still asking myself if I should go Hybrid or pure lifebased, and how will I sustain mana costs ( cause diamonds elereon rings in HC are expensive ).

What you guys are thinking ?

I will try to anserw to several previous posts.

I had like 2 different variations of this build. Now I have third. I have also 2 version of legacy Mjolner - one crit, one RT and can compare things.

I would say that vagan dagger is not 100% necessary but it HELPS A TON. Without Vagan dagger you have to focus on accuracy to get at least 90% and even than it is much worse than Vagan, why? Because during crit hit, accuracy is checked TWICE. Once - if theres a hit, and secound one - if that hit is a crit. It's ingame mechanics and was confirmed by ggg (Im to lazy to search for that post). So even with 90% accuracy your avg chance to crit is 0,9 * 0,9 * 'your total crit chance', while with Vagan its is simply 'your total crit chance'.

Another, most important thing are the bosses. They are almost allways harder to hit than regular monsters, having much more evasion. So having "allways hits" mod on a weapon is a perfect mod.

Now about dagger stats and attack speed. Both are really important. As I've allready mentioned in my previous post your total chance to crit should be at least 65% (Assasins Mark bonus included) for things to start beeing fluid. Otherwise booms wont come when you need them. So count: 'your dagger crit chance' * 'total crit chance increase' (tree and gear) + 'Assasins Mark bonus' if its 65%+ then you're good to go. If not - do a gear or tree adjustments.

Attack speed with cyclone should be at least 3 aps for thing to start beeing fluid. If it's not again - do a gear or tree adjustments.

Also remember that jools can help a lot with attack speed.

Now about that unique amu 'Marylene's Fallacy'. Imo not worth it. 40% LESS (so its multiplicative) crit chance WILL HURT. Better to use rare 40%+ crit multi.

High FREQUENCY of Disharges (and charge generation) is far more important than single Disharge dmg. And this is provided by your total crit chance and aps and nothing more (at least with Vagan Dagger).

hey man cheers for that im currently lvl 80 close to 81 and i found that for me with 7 power charges up im onli at 69.10% crit chance with ass mark putting me at 78.10% and the aps on cyclone is onli 2.52 im onli using a 40% vagan dagger but i seem to be doing ok however there are times where i would cyclone into a pack and basically get 1 shot coz i havnt crit for 3-5secs and was leeching nothing but my main issue is coming up against chaos dmg mobs im only at 13% resistance
