1300 passive skills and you get 111 skill points?

I was flabbergasted by the size of the skill tree and was this is the game for me. Downloaded the client and started playing. Do a little research and you can get 111 skill points.

So you have all these interesting skills, this huge tree, but realistically you are only going to get to play with 7% of the entire tree per character because you are not going to cap your characters. Even if you capped and got ever quest point its 8.5%

Seriously? Seven Percent?

Why create this massive skill forest and then tell people oh, yeah, you get to play with less then 10% of it.

If you got to 1300 or so skill points, would there be any skill diversity anymore?

Why would you need projectile damage if you're using a mace? Why would you need Eldritch battery when you aren't wearing any energy shield equips?

It's not like you're going to want to use half of the tree anyway; then you have the other half to decide what your build is going to be.
To be fair more than 50% of the skills you take will have no thought at all behind them and will just be fillers. You really choose like 2-3% of the skills per character. But that 2-3% makes a huge difference compared to other games where your choices mean nothing.

It promotes build diversity, for one thing. Another is, and you will see, not every node on the tree is unique. Most are just roads to the keystone nodes, which will change the way your character plays.

What skill gems you use also factor into your character type, as well as the support gems you link them too. There is still more depth to the game than you think. You won't need all those nodes to keep yourself busy with character building.
All the things I want to remember are in the places I'd like to forget.

why people doesn't do a good research? there is no skill tree it is only passive skill tree and GGG made it open so you can have a variety of choices to create your own character. Geez this world is full of lazy people.
