Good day to everyone.

got a bit tired of constant map running so i got myself wondertraps and put hatred on blood magic =) .....
in this setup i got 197 IIQ =)

Wow, my friend! A low life variation.... amazing.

I saw the first video and wondered how you had 3420 energy shield at one point there.

In any case, a great example of taking nearly no damage!

i blame the minion with energy shield to allies...

wow that's pretty cool! I've been wanting to make a low life character for a while (since I found wondertraps), but I don't think I'd have the guts to play with 1k life in maps :) even with the fact that I don't get hit much, I would die to the occasional bigger hit.
good stuff...
2/3 of the way to Soul Taker! About 20 ex in the bank, only took about 3 weeks so far. Biggest key to saving up dough: don't ID shit, use the chaos recipe. Oh, and have a 300IIR Sporker alt to farm with.

I got a 5 socket chest piece yesterday, and with a few fusings got it 5 Linked - and then made it rare, and used 3 chaos to end up with the stats on it. Guess I got lucky, though I still dont have a good handle on currency values in game.

I use multi-strike, heavy strike, melee splash, phys dmg. I threw in blood magic in 5th slot (so all my mana goes to 3 auras right now with a bit of mana left out - cold dmg, resists, armor ones - I have them linked to reduced mana gem) - it works out great, except in long fights. I will swap out blood magic for a life on hit though.

Outstanding luck 5 linking a 5 socket with only a few fusings!

As you have both multi and splash on there you will probably need a lot of mana leech (for some reason I find splash especially demanding in this regard).

I would think faster attacks would be the ideal replacement for the blood magic gem once you get 4 or more percent mana leech on gear. You may need to level up a little bit more to have more mana so that auras leave you with a little more... 2 or 3 skill reps worth. Luckily heavy strike has a small mana requirement.

If you can't hack it, there is always the blind or stun support with no mana cost, or the mana leech gem which levels up to 4% rather easily.

Cruel has been a breeze for now. No deaths yet and I tend to play recklessly. Just started playing with some friends so I'm gonna try a similar build with the ranger. We'll see how that works.

Glad to hear it's going well. :)

Reckless play will get you killed with any build, but if not on hardcore, it's no problem. :D
@Hierokliff -- good eye!

@tommigee -- yep 1k as a melee, even this one, in maps would take some guts (and great gear), not for me either. :) But you know what kind of roulette those Russians like to play. :D (Borislav, I'm kidding.) :)

Thanks sovyn - Guess got lucky with this one - so it kinda all evened out.

I found a 5 Green Socket white chest piece earlier last week, which had 5G and blew all the hoarded chromes and fusings (30 to 40 each). I ended up with 5L and all green (best I got was 2 red sockets I think). It sits in the stash after having eaten up my "life savings" lol.

I 4Ld a unique also with a couple of tries, to get more than one socket and linking them! I was using it till I got this 5L.

@MildlyClever - All armor pieces have intrinsic preferred socket colour. Pure eva gear will favour green sockets, pure armor gear will favour red sockets and pure ES gear will favour blue sockets. If you manage to 'off-colour' a piece of gear, it will sell for a high price especially when that particular gear is in high demand (e.g vaal regalia 5L/6L).

Small wonder you got GGGGG on that chest piece, getting RRGGG is already considered quite good.
ah thanks - I suspected something like that as I kept getting all greens, and should have stopped at 2R3G in hindsight :)

but my greedy grubby fingers kepr right clicking orbs and left clicking the armor till I ran out of orbs! I think my inner lootwhore child took over heh! :-P
A shortcut tip for those who needs to use currency to socket/link/change colour/identify items quickly:

Right click on the currency > hold shift > left click on items

As long as you keep shift down, you can identify a few items/keep rolling on sockets/links.
