1.2.2 Deployment and Item Issue

Will the other issues besides spell damage such as faster casting, faster projectiles, area of affect damage etc. be fixed as well?
Don't worry about it GGG! It's impossible to catch everything all the time. Thanks for being quick to let us know about the problems (I just checked the news feed after realizing that my dps tooltip was wonky), and about your solutions. Nice patch regardless.
Ill also add that the actual pulse speed of the totems is being affected, seemingly randomly. Also that each totem may cast at a different rate.

a) We missed a bug that resulted in some weapons not being loadable in 1.2.2. We shut down the realm, fixed it so that no more items were lost and brought the realm back up. The affected items will be restored over the next few days. This isn't precedent for future item recovery, because in this case it's 100% our fault and harmless to restore.
b) In our haste, the client portion of this fix wasn't pushed to Steam, so some Steam users were unable to play (an item deserialisation error occurred) until we fixed that. They should patch their clients now.
c) We missed a bug related to Spell Damage. This has now been fixed and we'll be updating the client's DPS estimator once it has finished building.

Sorry about the problems! We had quite a long QA cycle for this patch but still missed these issues. We'll be reviewing internal policies to see what we can improve.


Great so it means no POe for a few days untill you guys restore my BOW.It mean i can go Play Archeage since its launching today yay :D
Spell damage doesn't only show wrong in the tooltip, it actually deals less damage to monsters. Tested with Ball Lightning, Arc and Vaal Spark - all of them deal WAY less damage they used to deal.
Real life made me quit the game lol

nothing to do but sit back and wait a while...far as ik i havent seen many buggy patchs and this is prob my biggest with POE but it happens. Will play later when its all fixed

Well at least I have proof my bow is gone, my divine weapon effect is on it and its not in my micro transactions tab so it's missing too. I can imagine some scum trying to take advantage of this situation and claiming they are missing weapons when they aren't so I'm glad I have proof.

Just spell damage was bugged internally (hopefully this was the only major bug). I got my dps (Glacial Cascade) back to where I had them before the patch.


Since i do not know how the calculations are being made for the total DPS and where the Area Damage comes in those calculations. Simply noticed those nodes weren't doing anything by themselves either. But also got back to the same DPS as before, thanks for the heads up ^^.
