Start by ensuring your .net framework, and video drivers are up to date. Although possibly unrelated to the issue, these are always good things to keep up on.

The thing about the pixel error, is that possibly, your video card doesnt support the Shader Model being used in POE?

Im just throwin out some ideas to get you started. Good luck.

EDIT :

If the game was working fine, and just started to crap out, other thing I would suggest, is to redownload install. Something could have gotten gimped.

thank u i will look at these
I have the same problem and i can't fix it - microsoft visual c runtime error, it says that poe client.exe caused it to run in an unusual way that made crash the program.

If anyone KNOWS how to fix it pls tell me :)
But i think that can only be fixed by grinding gear games, rly annoying bug...

not really a bug though is it?...since many many more people are playing with out this problem it is very likely down to a problem with your PC(old/out of date)

Or possibly that your ISP is caching out of date/corrupt/incomplete files which can lead to crashes as you have the wrong/no files...that can be fixed by using a VPN but in both cases not a problem with a game.

Try installing a Visual C++ Runtime redistributable package.
I don't know which version Path of Exile uses, but it's either 2005, 2008 or 2010.

I had all of them installed at once while this bug happend. Now i've deinstalled 2005 + 2008, it still didn't fix the problem - same situation than before...

I'm playing on WIN XP and i havn't done an update since a half year, that might have caused the problem i don't know. If it works i'll tell you.
Oh well ! I didn't even had to update my WIN, i've fixed that problem in another way:

First i have to say that deinstalling the older versions of Microsoft Visual C fixes this kind of error message but i still had some other errors which weren't fixed by this.

The new problem was the "out of memory" one... but i easily fixed this by decreasing the texture quality from "High" to "Medium". So far the game doesn't crash at loading screens anymore.

This thread might be helpful for some players, also thanks for your help guys, cya on the fields of justice :)

solution to the problem in two minutes. (working for Win Vista/7/8)
It's easy!

First thing you gonna do is open WINDOWS START MENU
Type CMD on the SEARCH BOX.
RUN THE CMD AS ADMINISTRATOR ( ---> Click the CMD right mouse button and select this option).
Look a that:

You should see:
C:\Windows\system32

On the CMD type:

bcdedit.exe /set IncreaseUserVA 2800
...and clik ENTER.

you will see the messege say:
THE OPERATION COMPLATED SUCCESSFULLY

now what you gonna do is restart your PC.

That's it!
Enjoy! =D

EDIT: No crashes since Ive done this :)
