I feel like I'm doing something wrong but those passive tree links never work for me.
It just loads the tree blank without any points assigned :(

Btw 98% maximum is too low you should skip the chaos/life nodes and reach the scion life wheel.

Ah, i thought most people knew about the 1.2 offline skill calculator, since the new one isnt up on path of exile.com yet, my bad :D.

I would also use pledge of hands and probably cloak of defiance. It would be crit based and I would use arc -> empower/life leech -> lightning pen -> pcoc -> critical damage -> faster casting.

This is a build that will use a shield. I didn't get the aura. I was able to get 182% maximum life which should be plenty. If you want more health, you can remove some dps node and put more point into the scion life well.

I checked your build. I would like to know what is your opinion on Practical application. It gives you 20 STR and 20 DEX + 25% chance to avoid stun interruption. I would also like to know why you get the aura cluster next to the scion and the ES node in the middle of the tree. You have to spend to much point to get down there. I think there could be more point efficient path to get the same result. You could go through Deep wisdom directly into the shadow side which would save you 5 points and give you 20 DEX (which could let you remove one of you point spent on a +30 DEX node). With those 5 point you could get the life/mana cluster at the top of the witch tree that has Cruel preparation and Deep thoughts. Going for that cluster would also be nice because you would be just a few points away from the hearth of thunder cluster.

You make an excellent point about critical strike. The patch notes says that they boosted the critical strike change of most lightning spell. I don't know if arc is one of them and i don't know if its a big boost. However, the new tree has some huge critical strike node which are really close to the path you are taking in your build. For exemple, there is a cluster in the witch tree that would give you 95% increase critical strike chance + 10% multiplier. There is also a node in the shadow tree that would give you 70% crit and 35% multiplier. the last one is the doom cast node. Since they are all close to your build and with the boost to the crit chance of lightning gem, do you think it would be an efficient investment for the amount of point we have to spend to get them/some of them?.

BTW i really really enjoy your build. Atziri was so easy with the righteous fire arc build :)

Yeh i noticed that aswell, dropped the shadow tree, noticed it was to many nodes used for jut some simple spelldmg and castspeed nowadays.

Hooked up the scion tree instead.

Are you still planing to take Oak for normal difficulty bandit after the nerf to %hp?

will this be viable with shadow? btw i havnt seen the tree yet.
