[1.2] Updated! 33k dps BorWoe Max block + acrobatic Supertank-build for Beyond (HC) - Affordable!
I just tried to make this build work with some more affordable gear and I'm having quite a hard time.
Either I'm doing very low damage with prismatic eclipse or I'm far from max block. Also 50% spell block seems not to be enough. But on the other hand I got much more life than before and normally have no problem with staying alife!! Just start running back to town when my life goes to low, refresh and continue the fight. This works mostly fine (except high ES-monsters,..), just takes a while. Let's see where it goes.. Please help to fight the climate change!

" The 4 uniques stated in the guide is a must. Most good builds are like this, once your gear is slightly off it will not work. |

" I'm glad you liked the buid i posted and that it made you want to play it yourself. I do not feel two threads about the same build are necessary, but if having your own thread makes you happy, have fun :) I'd like to point out a couple of things. First, it would be a challenge breaking even 30k dps, let alone 35k as you have listed at the beginning of the thread. I'm guessing you're not aware about the bugs in poebuilder that end up showing higher dps then it usually is possible to achieve. Main issue poebuilder has is not taking into account dps reduction melee splash has and that is the main reason you should leave it at level 1. Even at such a low level, dps is higher then it should be when using that gem. Second thing is calling build affordable, but planning it around very expensive gear peaces. Such a contradiction should be pointed out for newer players who are not aware of how difficult it is to get perfect gear in this game. When i started the BoR + WoE thread that, among others, got you to want to play and try the build, i tried my best to post accurate description of the build and that is the reason why i include screenshots of offensive and defensive stats and videos as proof of what build is capable of. I do not list maximum theoretical dps because i don't want people getting their hopes only to end up disappointed when they reach endgame and realize what was promised is very hard to achieve or even impossible. My standard build is worth at least 50ex (40 of that are legacy bringer of rain and +1 max res lazhwar which actually improve the build only slightly). While very close to maximizing defensive capabilities gear-wise, I would need to invest at least another 50ex if i wanted to get gear that would increase dps (as none of the jewelry or gloves listed in my thread have any dps affixes). In my opinion, if you plan on keeping the poebuilder links instead of ingame stats, you should at least point out it only represents theoretical values that are very hard to achieve and require a lot of playing before you reach that level. Its not something that can be reached in a short term challenge league (not so much because of the lack of currency, but mainly because of unavailability or non-existence of items build needs). One more note. As a person who spent a long time playing this build, i always include as much chaos resistance on my gear and life regeneration on the tree to be able to support Blood Rage (completely outregenerate it on normal maps and only have low degeneration on half regen or shocking ground maps). I would not be including that many regeneretaion nodes on the skill tree if they were unimportant and easily replaceable with life leech on gear. If you plan on playing this build on beyond, you should keep in mind that without them game will be a lot harder. |

My build was heavily inspired by yours. Pre 1.2 I used woe+bor aswell and was very pleased with the ability to jump into tons of mobs and survive (you gotta love max block). Now for 1.2 i switched from cyclone (it's very safe, but annoying to use) to dual strike and yesterday I tried the switch to cleave, which I can recommend (from 18k to 24k dps). You should test it out.

Hey! Really loving this build and am up to lvl 39 on my duelist in the new Beyond league following your leveling guide. However, one question, is it ok to use Cleave as the primary attack? I really like its animation and the feel of it. My gear is pretty trash atm since i havent been able to find anything decent so the best ive got atm is a 2 link with cleave + multi strike and it just shreds. Also running Herald of Ash and its a nice dps boost to cleave. Would run hatred as well but like i said earlier i havent found a 4 link yet to use blood magic and life leech with my cleave and multi strike. Other than that, its a really fun build. Ive actually been using Poachers Mark on elite packs to keep my mana and life up with my crappy gear lol.

Hi Krilox
As per a previous post, I've now respecced an old Lvl 83 duelist with this build. Going pretty well so far though my initial impression was it was hopeless when I ran my first map and died several times. Only towards the end of the map did I realise it had a phys reflect mod...whoops, watch out for that one. Other than that, only time I've run into problems is when I've become complacent and run into a corrupting blood rare without noticing...because I hardly ever get hit, sometimes I don't even bother looking at my health...almost got me a couple time. The main difficulty I had with the build, as per some other posts, is the need to get rings that are high in resists and intelligence if you want to run a high lvl purity of lightning, which as you say in your OP is pretty important these days. I had to sacrifice one passive to get a +30 intelligence passive, and even then I needed around 60 more intelligence. Despite having a whole stash tab of hoarded rare rings I've kept, I could not find any combination along with resists on belt and gloves that not only gave me the required intelligence and resists, but also life and damage boosting mods. So currently I'm running around with around 20k DPS (with hatred) and only 3.9k life (unfortunately no Oak 40p reward as I went for skill point when I first made this character - I was new :-). My evasion sis quite low too as only approporiate gloves were armour based ones. Of course I'm going to go to lvl 90 at least so will give me another 7 skill points to throw at life and damage passives. And hopefully when I finally find that damn jeweller master (still haven't encountered at all) I can craft some better rings...I really think a life leech mod will be helpful. Because of no life leech I took a slightly different approach to tree to offset blood magic cost and took golem's blood to give me an extra 1% life regen. Only other thing I've done is used my Rainbowstrides sockets to equip spectral throw with curse on hit and enfeeble which I use to curse tough mobs or bosses first (when i remember too) though I might change the enfeeble to vulnerability and try that out as well. All in all, having a lot of fun with this build and looking forward to getting better gear to improve it. |

how will this build manage without BoR? coz it is the most pricy equipment

I have exactly the same tree in my build, using the same poebuilder.com for long time
Some comments below BoR seems expensive, I would go with a 1000+ pure EVS armour, a 650+ pure EVS helmet, a 300 pure EVS boots, a 300 pure EVS gloves some mediacore belt, ring, amulet frankly in my 2 year gameplay I never got a exalt droppped I got some exalts for selling fuses but I used them again to get some other gears like 10% daggers the new tree provides good DW block chance But I am not sure about the Resolute Technique really needed You have already travelled to the shadows area so you have a lot of DEX, you will definitely get 85% hit chance so go for crit chance and life nodes near shadow [optional] -- may be you can pickup the pure elemental nodes to improve your damage from rings and amulets If you have a wings of entrophy then elemental damage will also help for fire damage this crit chance and multiplier can do insane damage If you go for scion, you have 6% DW block chance immediate and 80% crit chance very close and life nodes also very near |

Hey, krilox, a few questions...
1) Which gems are best for adding quality? 2) I am leveling with Herald of Ash and Elemental Proliferation right now, and it's a lot of fun. When I hit the final gear with BoR and WoE, I am thinking about stacking resistance in the hands, belt, and rings. Then I will run only one of PoI/PoL/PoF/Poe and drop Hatred, so my aura 4L will be Reduced Mana, Purity of *, Herald of Ash, and Elemental Proliferation. What do you think? Anyway, I'm 45 now, and I just got into a1m. I'll have to farm some exp before I can use the BoR, and then I'll make you a video like I promised. Thanks for the free gear and a great build though! |

Hey I'm currently level 34 and I've just got a few things I need clarification on..
You're leveling up with cleave which I'm doing as well until I get to merciless and can farm docks til I get WoE/BoR...buuut i'm not too sure what I should link it to ? I've got melee splash on dual strike and nothing linked to Cleave. My only defensive abilities are Enduring Cry, and Decoy Totem. I'm just about to hit Acrobatics in 2 passive points from now so hopefully I'll be tanky. Got about 1k hp. Any other leveling tips people can give me? :) I've been trying to keep my 1h swords updated but idk how long that'll last. |
