CI allows him to get a very high life pool without much point investment. While this means he can't have as much armour or evasion as a life build can, he can survive much more elemental damage. This helps against reflect and against bosses like atziri.
Hey m8. I wanted to try this build in the upcoming new challenger leagues. How would you change (if needed) this build for the upcoming 1.3.0 patch? Thanks in advance

Same here, really looking forward if this will have a 1.3 update. If not, super funny build mate :)
Now that 1.3 is out, I'm also interested. DD looks so far like it's just as viable on a shadow as it was in 1.2--nerfs really only hit the left side of the tree and the witch starting area, so the huge elemental damage + ES instant leech + warlord's mark seems like as solid a plan as always.

Edit: One question though, what's the leech from atziri look like when using warlord's mark? The curse efficacy reduction makes me think it should only be leeching 3.2%? You only have the 1 increased effect node, but specifically against atziri (and other map bosses) the one that is _right next to_ the path you're already taking will be disproportionately useful. With your current path, it's barely impossible to take the +12 node even at level 100, but that's not really as important. You have 19% increased curse effect on the curses themselves already, so for math, atziri is currently taking 60 reduced + 25 increase = 35% reduced, whereas with the extra node it'll be 29% reduced. 71/65 = a 9% curse buff by just one more node.

I'm watching your videos, is the DPS just so high that that's enough leech? And do trash mobs make your current tree that much better even if you're taking a hit against atziri?

Regardless, I know what I'll be taking at level 96 (even before that last aura effect node)

EDIT: I didn't notice it was +15% more maximum Energy Shield till now, my bad.

You might want to take Infused Energy instead of Unnatural Calm.

-1% increased maximum Energy Shield
+1% to maximum Lightning Resistance
+15% faster start of Energy Shield Recharge

Also I've noticed you are taking +10 to intelligence instead of +4% increased Radius of Area Skills.

Anyways I'm looking forward to that 1.3 update. I'm leveling as a Fire Trapper/Flame Blaster for now and around level 60. I've got the gear and be able to wear them all at level 69 I suppose. When do you think I should convert to Detonate Dead & CI ?

And do you think if a 6L Carcass Jack good for start? Or I should look for a high ES 500+ armour ?

Here is the gear I have for now. Will switch PoH with Catalysts later on. I think I'll stick with one Catalyst till I get a 500 ES+ 5L chest.

Hey m8 soz for slow raspond i was afk for 1 month.
Dps is insane so u will leech rlly sick amount. tras is usually one shoted and atziri changing phases every 3-4 seconds. so only way to die is some rlly crazy mistake (standing in flameblas) or shit like this. i also updated my tree for 1,3 version so check it out
