[DW / 2H] Slad's Blood Tank Duelist ☼ High Survivability

Why didn't you take Dervish?
I like it, I am a 53 DW who is going to head towards the MAra starting point as well as a last ditch effort to be able to survive in Merciless.

My only question is why di you ignore those 6 Res nodes next to Diamond skin at the MAra start point? Wouldnt +30 Res to each type be useful?

nice build, what skills u find work well for thsi build?

dual strike? cleave?

grace and some elemental aura?

thanks

Is that q to me? :P
Anyway im using Anger , warlords Mark, fire traps

Dual Strike connected to Life Leach and Life Gain on Hit
with both weapons sucking life too.
if i could i would used some stun based gem too
now i have only equipment with 3 conected socets :(

1:1 its good to tank but hard to be useful in party when others are spamming elementals

whirling blade - is good to jump around if there are many mobs

in my oppinion Cleave is not good in dual wielding as it 40% reduced ph weapon damage
I went down the left side of the starting zone because it placed me right next to the armor nodes I wanted and a bit more physical damage than the other side.

As for my gems...

I've got Leap Slam and Grace aura (Not linked to anything, just wherever)
I've got Warlord's Mark linked to a Spell Totem.
And in my chestpiece which has 3 red slots and a green slot all linked, I have Dual Strike, Cleave, Life Gain on Hit, and Life Leech support gem.

I hope this helps.

Edit: Also, Anger is a good aura for more damage, as it doesn't reserve a % like the others and it requires only strength.
Oh, and made some changes to the build itself, see the original post for more info!

Just curious as to why you're willing to give up evade completely via iron reflexes. Technically, couldn't you also attain your damage reduction cap without sacrificing evasion? It seems that it is extremely important at higher difficulty levels to avoid ranged chaos attacks as well as downgrade critical hits to non critical hits. Otherwise, I have created a very similar build to yours in regard to focusing on life nodes, block nodes, and increasing armor/resists.

as i understand it alows to use different equipment what you have so 5% of evasion what is left he trades for "not been stun" with Unwavering Stance
Exactly. With no evasion rating, my chance to evade is 5%. It's so insignificant that I replaced that 5% with the ability to never be stunned. #WorthitIMO

TO each their own.

Cool, something for me to definitely consider as I get into the harder difficulties. Thanks for the feedback =)
Hullo. I'm fairly new to the game and going to be using this as a guideline to building my char. Now, what exactly should prioritize? I'm only Lv 7 at the moment but I'd like to plan for the upcomming levels. Should I be getting HP nodes long before Blood Magic? When should I even pick up Blood Magic? Thanks in advance.
I replied to someone previously who asked practically the same question. I explained my path there. Best of luck leveling! Duelist is fun.
