This is a stupid answer that is borderline fanboyism.

The GAH was a great tool for finding and selling items. The RMAH is what fucked everything up because everyone wanted to sell the best items for thousands of dollars in real money which only nerds with disposable income could afford.

POE would benefit greatly from an AH because there are so many different forms of fucking currency to keep track of and not everyone can sit on their ass and trade for 12+ hours each day.

Fanboyism ? His answer was not stupid, but your was full of it. RMAH did not kill D3, the GAH killed it, you could gear up so easily in the AH because there was such an influx of gear, prices dropped and you could gear yourself for end game relatively cheaply, and what did end game bring ? Grinding for paragon levels, and if you played 3 hours a night, you might find 1 upgrade a month if you were lucky. That's what killed D3, a game that's based off of grinding for loot dies when you can buy it off the AH easily, you have nothing to grind for because nothing drops, so what's the point in playing ?

I hope so much that the new trading system is the greatest addon for the 20.08.2014 and that we didnt heard again about it in weeks is a good thing - because its disclosed last with a big bang.
Dont tell me otherwise - it would be so... sad.

It wont be anything similar to what they have in D3. What GGG might do is incorporate something similar to xyz to the game...

according to chris' response in one of the latest "state of exile"-podcasts the estimated time is somewhere after the fm expansion release.
