5 Aura Raging Spirits / Animate Weapon 1.1.5 Build
The 9 points are from a scion perspective but if you take any other class it's a lot more than that. While the 9 points using a scion can add you +28 all elemental resist, 10 dexterity and a nice armor/evasion bonus (+ one 10% physical "useless for this build" damage) but in the end even if i'm fond of it it's a lot of point if you plan on a 80 points build.
I like animated weapon too but they don't pass from zone to zone with you which is a big hurdle in my eyes. Add to this the fact that you need augmented duration node/gem (or both for better efficiency) and that make it a not useless gem but a high cost unusable against most boss gem. Which is why i think the zombie are better in the sense that when you'll really need more dps/tank you'll get the zombie to help you instead of a skill that can't be used at all against most boss (would you sacrifice a 3L or 4L in a fight against Atziri for example?) nice build/ideas. it looks fun and effective, so i decided to try it out. i did make some changes though:
- witch start for more mana regen, allows me to drop inner force - more life for hardcore - less minion dps nodes, since i have +3 staff - duration nodes in favor of cast speed here's a comparison for the duration vs cast speed: 45% duration (tree) 62% cast speed (50% 20q fast cast gem + 12% tree) vs 78% duration (20q duration gem) 30% cast speed (tree) i will most likely be dropping animate weapon for skelly totems. that will free up enough sockets for me to run a cwdt setup. not really sure if it will be more/less effective, but it should be better for hardcore. anyhow, here's my tree

rarylith: Atziri's a special case. Are there any minions that generally survive fights with her? You're right that Animated Weapons don't cross zones. However a lot of boss areas are actually still part of the zones that preceeded them. Piety's room for instance is still part of Lunaris Temple Level 3, and I think Dominus' area is still considered to be in the Upper Spire. I've been mostly mapping recently so I haven't tested it extensively. Animated Weapons are pretty effective against exiles and map bosses. Haven't done many corrupted areas.
I reached the duration nodes via the Scion life wheel from Shaper - so 12 points in total. However pretty much every node along the way was useful - life, resists, evasion, even the strength and dexterity (my build is bit starved for those stats). |

What about bandits quest? which do we go for?

A few weeks ago I started to make this build because it looked fun to play. Is it still viable now? Just trying to decide if I should put my skills in as they were, or if I should try to find a better option.

Seconded, this build was excellent and my 75 scion is waiting (patiently) naked for this to be updated so I can plough the points back into the tree.
It would be fantastic to see this build adapted to the Raging Spirits nerf. |

Yeah I'm at the same point. I've only got a level 51 but I didn't want to start using points until I had some idea about where to put them with the changes. Would love to hear recommendations from the folks who started the thread as this was one of my favourite characters to play.
Looking forward to getting back to it! |

Anyone remade this to try it yet with the patch?
