[1.3] The Crit Philosopher - CI Crit Cold Witch - Freezing Pulse, PCoC & Echo

Yeah, I'd give it a try if I had some points to spare. I've been actually thinking about dropping some ES and getting more damage myself. So yeah, if you're good on ES, give it a try.

Some people even look for a +1 Curse Chayula and go for the same route, but getting Dex is quite difficult in this side of the tree.

I am just coming back and have not played since before launch, so almost 2 years i would say. The original Freezing Pulse CI witch build i was playing hasnt been worked on and i found yours. It is doing really nice with my testing so far but my problem is that i dont know what the final gems are for this build, your guide was confusing on that so i was wondering if you could tell me what are all the gems you use at the end game, the ones your keeping as of now? I also noticed they have guilds now, whats a good way to get into a decent one, or if you know of one recruiting could you point me in the right direction? Thank you for any help you give me!

The gems I use for endgame with this build are Freezing Pulse, Lesser Multiple Projectiles, Spell Echo, Power Charge on Critical, Increased Critical Damage and Empower. I swap empower for life leech if the maps mods are dangerous.

About guilds, I don't know about decent guilds, but there's a subforum around here in which they often look for new members :)

cold pen is a much better choice than icd and probably empower too unless empower is very high level. 30% cold pen is a 30% more damage mod vs a monster with 0% cold res and it only gets better vs resistant monsters.

So thats your main damaging ability, for the others you use Lightning Teleport and auras and stuff like that. You dont use any other damaging abilities like Ice Spears Totem

That gives me another question. I know this build needs life leech for Ghost to replenish your ES, so if you dont have Life Leech gem where do you get life leech from?

u can get it from doryani belt and doryani sceptre. also by crafting leech on wands via catarina the master in your hide out.

Hello, I'm actually playing a Summoner in Warbands, so it is unlikely I will update the build anytime soon. I would like to play FP in the future, though.

Mostly, what I feel is that FP is no longer what it used to be because of the shotgun nerf. It deals more damage, but it fells off late game.

Also, CI is dead. So, I don't know. It will be a completely different guide, I'm sure.

In the meantime, Bada made some remarks in his famous Cold Witch Guide for Beginners, so I invite you all to check it out.
