[1.2.X Guide] Mollari's Self Cast Multicharge Discharger AKA Blue Flame Moose (no Voll's!)
Very interesting read! Today I came up with an almost identical build, never seen this guide before, glad to see it can indeed work. I do wonder why you only get 33k average damage on discharge with full charges.

" You will die to reflect so easily. 75% of that damage is complete overkill and wasted. Who cares about tooltip DPS. If the mob has a hypothetical 30k life and you hit him for 30k or 189k, the same thing happens. It dies in 1 hit. Any epeen damage over the mobs max life is completely wasted and will only get you killed on reflect. Since you cannot cap spell block you will always be rolling the dice when discharging in reflect. You will either live or die and even at max 75% spell block there will always be the 25% chance that you will just fall over dead and the only way to make sure you live is to keep your damage manageable so you can handle reflect. You also only have 77 all res which again will not even be close to enough to survive reflect at that damage. You are more then welcome to try your version but expect to die...a lot. Good luck! Hi, very interesting build, got 3 questions:
" 1. if i deal 50k damage on a 30k hp monster, it doesnt mean ill get 50k reflect right? i only get reflect by those 30k? " 2. Ive googled some, but didnt find my answer, if i discharge on a 20-group of mobs and they reflect me, does it roll block on each mob-reflect individually or does it roll collectively? in other words, does it roll 25% chance to reflect all 20 at once or does it roll 25% on each mob. 3. How do you deal with high phys dmg? you only have lvl 1 AA, no armor, no evasion and not stacking endurance charges defensively? [Trade] -> Whisper me IGN: TrapAndHide

" 1. Reflected damage is based on the amount of damage dealt, regardless of the target's life. 2. Blocking is rolled separately by each defender. (Discharge, like every spell is an all or nothing crit but each block is rolled per mob) 3. Granite with armor % really helps. With discharge pretty much wiping the screen you are able to clear out potential problems quickly. AA s not used defensively and only used for the 20Q 10% run speed. The Atziri flask also helps with both damage and leech. " Thanks for your reply. First of all, the 180k is a hypothetical number, something I will probably never reach. It's also the damage I do when I'm at full charges. The idea is that when I see a reflect pack, I just cast enduring cry and only discharge some endurance charges for greatly reduced damage, but yea will have to see how it goes, guess the extra damage will be nice in parties and against mean bosses. |
