State Of Economy.
I think this game has the most stable, accessible, interesting, skills based economy in any game I have ever seen. Its a shining star of excellence in the rpg genre.
the only problem with the economy, imo, is how much of the individual players game experience has had to be bent to make it work. The economy itself is fantastic. |

" That sounds really cool but who wants to just PLAY a FUN GAME anymore? I mean really. Path of PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW

Economy should be something people want to do, not something forced. Its really that simple.

What they need to do is fix the necessity of trading. Or maybe not "necessity", because you can play the game without trading, but when you can buy an awesome pair of gloves, custom fit to your needs for a mere 2 chaos, yet you would have to spend the equivalent of 30 chaos to craft something even remotely similar by yourself, and have basically NO chance whatsoever of ever finding anything the like yourself, something is wrong. Anyone with a brain will just buy it. But that takes all the fun away, doesn't it?
To remove the this problem, they need to fix the completely impossible crafting and unrewarding drops. If you fix the droprates and the crafting so that the player no longer feels like he NEEDS to trade, because the player finds all his satisfaction through just playing the game, and building his character himself, then everything would be ok and there would no longer be problems with the "economy". |

Ill keep it simple yo.
Increased drop rates only feeds trade. Trade still path of least resistance. Upping drop rate no permanent fix. It merely inflates the economy. Last edited by mrpetrov#7089 on Jun 30, 2014, 5:07:03 PM

" Whats you point? So keep drops crap to force people to trade, increase drops and people will trade more because there is more to trade. Whats the problem? If people can find there own drops they wont be forced to trade like it is now they can trade if they want to. Fuck the economy of a loot based game, that should be designed around FINDING LOOT!!!!! This place is hopeless
Economy is broken you say .... fixing the economy you guys complaining about orbs , about crafting about all the trading ... Then what about a general fix of the all economy by removing all orb drops , removing all the trade and crafting aswell just because it annoy some ppl and PoE will become totally single player game just like D3 atm .
One of the reasons I , all my friends and alot of other ppl left D3 is just because it became single player game you grind for your gear and once you have all good items then what ? I dont say there arent things that must be improved and mostly the new 4 month legue should come faster because it seems alot of players are bored as hell , but fixing the economy by saying trade sux , orb drop chance sux , crafting sux is kinda odd imo . Me personally I dont wanna play some single player game or retarded game for kids where u get all the best items possible in few days/weeks then what ... what you gonna do ? " It always seems to be complete extremes with you people. Either drops are complete crap and only flippers/no lifers enjoy it, or Bis gear just rains from the sky and you have everything in 2 days. This is a complete straw-man argument you guys have been using for years, no one is asking for bis drops to rain from the sky. There needs to be middle ground.
" With all the troubles D3 had, you come here and say the reason you left was because they removed shopping, and expect people to take you seriously? Casually casual.
