[1.3.0] Michael Bay's second favorite build: Oro's Sacrifice IB + MS

got a few questions,
Why not take unwawering stance if you already took iron reflexes it's only 4 point loop and you can drop a few 6% life nodes to take bloodless cluster on the way (makes same %hp but with mod of no leech from you)
What aura do you recomend to use with grace, determination or anger or both heralds (fire on basically for overkill burn) ?
And what are your thoughts on http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Mokou%27s_Embrace ? nice fire dmg boost and ignite chance.

Well on standard I got 15k dps on Molten Strike with anger on my lvl 85 marauder with a good Oro's and Kaom's heart. Also have 20/20 gems

So far in rampage with 5 frenzy charges I get 11k dps w/o Kaom's heart (I don't really feel like getting another Kaom's because the socket struggle is annoying). So far this league I'm almost at lvl 20gems and have yet to 20%

Obviously with lvl 20 flammability there's an extra ~40% loss of fire res that you break through that doesn't show up on the tool tip

Also spectral through is great but I got tired of using it so many times so I wanted something different, definitely a good approach for difficult situations though

I set up a 115pt build that does just that with keeping everything else. This league I wanted to see if I needed unwavering stance and it's not 100% necessary but I definitely will grab it if I ever get 90+, I recommend getting it later on however I feel as though the Arsonist cluster isn't as good as going up to Heart of the Flame. On a defensive standpoint though giving up unwavering stance is a huge risk if you don't use spectral throw. As for dropping the nodes with Heart of the warrior, I like the 18% + 35hp as apposed to 20% + 5 hp.

Right now I have to say that herald of ash + ele prolif is an absolute must. Molten strike alone hit's around 5k fire damage in one hit, multiple with the increased burning damage and you get a much safer group clear vs infernal blow. Don't get me wrong though, infernal blow is awesome but given corrupted monsters that explode and the obvious sometimes unsee-able ele reflect mobs there's death waiting for you if you're not careful.

So if you stack a ton of armor you can run determination and save a few skill points and throw them into armor/life nodes and then use Determination. If you have a lot of hybrid gear or even a few, I recommend using grace and IR and you can easily get 10K+ armor. The only problem is being able to fit in Anger which gives 2k+ dps so it's a question of can you sustain Grace/Determination + Anger and herald of ash (with ele prolif on it) or you decide between mroe dps or more armor.

Moku's embrace is a nice and cheap ring to give you a good dps boost, however I'm not a big fan because I don't feel like the ingnite chance is necessary because you already should have 20 from oro's and another 14% from flammability. 34% is plenty in my opinion and as for the extra attack speed while ignited... well I don't see that being common enough to actually make a difference; but, I don't pay enough attention so for all I know I could be getting ignited a lot more than I thought. Regardless, I'll take a ring with 30+ WED, good resists, high life and maybe even some fire dmg over that.
This is all after Oro's though, if you want to use it to level with molten strike and ele prolif herald of ash then yeah it's a really good leveling ring until you grab something more beneficial

Currently theory crafting an Arctic Armour/EB version of this as a witch. I don't know how well arctic armor melee builds go but I'm rather interested in the mitigation the counterbalance the damage increase while using an oro's sacrifice. That said, I don't like leveling that much so I don't know when I might actually try it out

One Question. Why does Infernal Blow not work AT ALL for me with this build.,..nothing explode and molten strike seems to much much better

Why not multistrike over fast attack ?

I know it doesn't scale with phys dmg, but you still have a higher attack speed than with 3 fast-attack-strikes, and it costs less.

I'm not convinced you deal more dmg with fast attack.

Anyone still watching this thread ?

You can do the math for yourself, I guess.
Or level and compare both gems.

20/20 gems:
"107% more attack speed, 36% less damage" -> 2.07 * 0.64 = 1.32 damage multiplier
"54% increased attack speed" -> 1.xx damage multiplier, depending on increased attack speed on passive tree, gloves etc.
If it's a bigger number than 1.32, take fA, if not, multistrike.



When looking at the gem setup, I think "Fire penetration" should have higher priority than being the 6th gem.
If all your damage is fire, you gotta make sure it gets though resists.

Nice job. Similar to "Ziggy's Heavy Metal" Build. Definitely going to give it a go.
