Uber Atziri as a Melee

I'm not sure if anyone has actual footage of this since every attempt at Uber Atziri that I've seen has been Spectral Throw, RF, Arc and probably a couple others that I've might have missed.
Has there been a melee who has successfully killed Uber Atziri? |

the melee would have trouble in the atziri spawn healing adds phase (not sure melee splash would be fine by itself, perhaps someone with mirror gears could do it), which spectral throw would have no trouble with.

I understand that but as a player who uses a melee attack (currently 25k DPS Frenzy with 75/60 block), I haven't seen any Uber Atziri kill video aside from the ones I have listed in the starting post.
I have done normal Atziri plenty of times and the healing add phase has its moments where it can give Atziri a few points of healing, sometimes 5-10 adds absorbed depending on their spawn location. The only location for attacking the adds that come is to hit Atziri with melee splash which is a very small area before she absorbs them. Basically, I'm cutting it close half the time she goes to that phase. |

dont think a non-snapshot build has killed her yet?

As much as I don't mind mentioning players who don't snapshot and killed Uber Atziri, we're straying a bit off topic from my original statement.
I would like to kill her as a melee but I don't like the whole "If you can't beat them, join them" tactic. It's 3 months into the league with a little over a month left before we move to Standard/Hardcore but it's a bit depressing if the only type of character that can't kill Uber Atziri is a melee. |

Is it not feasible to swap gems as a melee? Can you not swap dual strike / frenzy for St and another gem for LMP and just wreck the adds?

Swapping to Spectral Throw won't really work because the damage by itself (or with a change of gems) is horrible. With the way I'm geared (Soul Taker, Bringer of Rain, Aegis Aurora, Rainbowstrides), I'll need to swap everything out to even gain full benefit from Spectral Throw.
I did a weapon swap and I could get up to 31.3k DPS with Frenzy (20/20) and 30.2k DPS with Dual Strike (Level 17). Both might be work but is it enough to take down the adds? I think Terrex has been trying to take Uber Atziri down on his melee but I don't know how far he's gone or if he had stopped trying. |
