Kry's Molten Claw Dual Wielding Crit Build, A Variant of The Community for the Community.
Is this build dead? I`m planning to use it in 1 month hardcore league.
I also made approximate list of gem rewards that we need.

Molten strike doesn't use both claws, only 1 at the time. Claws give leech, which doesn't work optimally with 60% conversion.
Also, inc. crit mult. = pure dmg. Daggers would be better for molten strike and dual strike would be better for dualwielding. Switch to dual strike. = both claws at once and + 80% crit with qual. |

I've been trying this build out in the 1 month (standard).
Some thoughts. Don't worry about claws in normal, just use whatever gives you the most dps. When you do move to claws, you'll prob need to make them yourself, magic with high psy. You'll get molten strike and weapon ele damage from quest rewards as you play, but other gems will be difficult to get. Multistrike especially. You'll need to buy it. Speaking of multistrike, get it as soon as you can, it makes a massive MASSIVE difference. The build doesn't really work without it. Don't be in too big a hurry to swap to bloody magic, and definitely don't even try without multistrike. Mana pots will be a bit fiddly, but it's just easier until you've got the health and damage to swap. If you happen to come across one, vaal reave can save your life. Frenzy charges are going to be difficult to use, I'm in the mid 50s and I'm still not using them. Blood rage + the drain from attack is just too much until your gear is better. You won't be able to run grace and hatred until the late 40s with a leveled reduced mana gem. I ran hatred until I could run both. However running both leaves you with little mana, I currently cannot cast blood rage, even if I wanted to (you can cast it, use a pot then put the second aura on). ; I'm curious as to when I'll be able to run blood rage comfortably, the drain is pretty big atm, I guess I'll need chaos res and some more life regen to start with. Really nice build. I think I will try this (or a variant) out
if the new leagues start. How far do you level your CwdT-gems? All the way up or do you cap them at a specific level to make them go of sooner? |

In the early 70s now.
CwDT - enduring cry - immortal call - increased dur, helps a lot CwDT - enfeeble also helps (might add an aoe gem if I get the chance) Vaal Reave is still awesome, saved my bacon a few times. I've kept the CwDT gems at lvl1 Still finding blood rage difficult to use consistantly. The hp degen is still pretty mighty. But I think I'll get there eventually, have -36% chaos res, 3.6k hp, 5.3k dps (6.5k with 7 frenzy charges). Some maps I simply don't use it, and a lot of the exiles I don't use it against either. If Kry ever returns, I'd like to hear when he was using it perma, in hardcore it would seem near impossible for a long time. As for flasks I've come to the conclusion that the best combo is two sapping sanctified with remove bleeding and decurse. Two seething (insta) hallowed one with remove freeze, one surgeons. 5th flask I'd use chaos res, eventually changing to armor when I can withstand the life degen. I started that build last week, and am really having a blast (pun not intended) with it at the moment.
I'm still only level 59, and using the Blood Dancers for frenzy charges (as well as the Three Dragons, shock really does make a difference). Everything dies so fast, it's awesome. I still have some issues regarding my resistances, but once my gear is better that shouldn't be a problem (and I'm almost caught up with some friends, so we'll soon be able to share auras, which will probably help too). I was thinking of trying to get a Bloodseeker (or two ;) ), it looks like the perfect fit for that build: good damage and attack speed, as well as weapon elemental damage... what do you think? |

I'm using Blood Rage in combination with frenzy charges and Blood Dance (for the extra regen). I have absolutely no problems keeping it up with 7 frenzy charges, once they expire, I use about 10% life till Blood Rage runs out.
A sword he brought, his foes to maim and rend,
from places dark behind forbidden doors, But night by night he woke with frighten'd roars from darkest dreams, too strange to comprehend. (Anonymous) |

" I use them(two); dps is pretty high+life leech., aps - 7 without frenzy charges.

Bought top rolls for 1 and 1.5 ex. |

Just a question regaring the Bloodseeker claws:
Does "Life Leech from hits with this weapon" mean, that it does not matter if the attack (i.g. molten strike) is placed in the sockets of the claw as long as bloodseeker is the weapon used to strike? So if I place MS in my chest and use Bloodseeker claws the life leech would still be instantly? Last edited by Geographus#4284 on Jul 25, 2014, 8:07:38 AM

You can use any melee attack in any gem slot with bloodseeker to make it work. But with molten strike, and other attacks that alternate weapon strikes, the instant leeching is only with the BS so it'll happen every other strike.
So many strikes within one breath.
But only one strike needed, for certain death. |
