Quitting Poe & Why

Haggling skills*

It's not hard at all, and I wouldn't even call it a skill, at all.
He could've specialize in amulet territory, learn the desired mods for some builds, and flip around, it's very easy with poe.xyz.
You don't have to know all the builds and all the good mods on all the items, it takes 10-20 minutes to learn what's wanted and pricy in the amulet territory, the rest is finding those items and reselling them.

It's very much possible, and if you don't believe it, that's ok.
What's possible and what OP possibly did,do not necessarily meet. I also wouldn't consider it something easy to do consistently. Even buying one specific item can take forever and reselling can take over a week at times.

I'm just calling out the obvious alt account. There is absolutely no need for even 5 chaos when reaching level 50, let alone 50 exas.

Of course it's not on that account, he joined on May 6th, a week ago, that's not fitting the one-month-course in the OP.

He's said that he's made over 10 characters in the process, probably around 60-70 levels all/most of them, and if he wanted to try out some builds, then 50 ex, for all those characters, isn't that much at all.

Neither is the 150 ex in gear. Which was my point.
To answer the whole - "no way you got that loot u are haxor" - jelly people

This is not the original account i started to play on this game.

Ive gotten multiple characters over lvl 60 but none to 80. I believe i only found 2 Ex pure, over 100 Chaos, and a shit ton of other orbs that i had ready to trade.

I had a buddy who i played with and he ran iiq and iir so it wasnt that hard for us to find loot and i was the one who would barter/sell etc

Alphas Howl, Bringer of Rain, Tabula Rasa, items like this just add up and amount to 50 ex.

my most expensive items were Kaoms Heart and Crown of Eyes.

I am burnt out but i dont think its something that will go away if i take a break.

Its the quests and monsters, they wont change and it will feel just as bad to play now as it will in a week or two.

There are many other reasons but most of all its just the i burned out the replay-ability of this game by replaying the main quest line over and over.

Every single game has a certain amount of times you can replay it untill its no longer fun.

Maybe it happened to me quicker then it happened to other people.
idk

Trading in this game was also hellish as u have to spam the trade chat and waste time...
Id much rather have the vendors actually being able to pay u the currency the item is worth (hence locking an item in place and setting the currency for it)

or being able to input the item into an npc shop where players can browse and buy even when ur not online.

Either way in close...
i love this game , i will continue to spend idk like 30 min max from time to time killin some mob for shits and giggles.
Idk if i will get back into this game as hardcore as i did previously...

I definitely enjoyed the time i spent though, the game could have been better ( but then the perfect game does not yet exist )
I would recommend 10/10 to play.
All I can say is have you tried races and/or hardcore?
Much harder, slower pasted but do you get an adrenaline rush of note. One also has to take all aspects of the game into consideration offence/defense resists and the likes just to survive.

The two week race is so awesome for me that after it has finished I'm canning softcore and going over to hardcore/invasion.

Here the challenge is to see how far you can get without dying. Die and its start all over again. There is also variety of monsters, and one never knows what to expect from one instance to another. Give it a bash before throwing the towel in.

To Die Is Not An Option, To Fight Until DIESync Is The Only Answer. ☺☻☺

Happy Hunting Exiles.

The skill tree allows you to take any class in any direction and have a decent chance at making something work. That doesn't mean you can just slot points anywhere you want and hope to succeed end game. You have to plan your build and that is a major major part of the game. Discovering builds yourself or trying out someone else's. I'm sorry you have lost interest but maybe you will decide to give it another try in the future. Farewell.

This is what you want to believe, in fact there is only a small array of core builds.

Want prove: Look at the previous build of the week GGG posted as an advise for the 2 week race. That tells everything you need to know, that is the default and core tank build.

The build variety is an illusion really, just like the OP stated.

The reason in my opinion is the fact that base stats are part of the passive tree. This is pigeon holing players.

Base stats shouldn't be on the passive tree, makes no sense..

Or you could go look at the class forums and see the hundreds of viable builds there...
There are so many different builds possible in this game.
If you think otherwise you are simply missing out...

Fortunately, sense is not required.

However, if I try to imagine getting, say, 10 stat points per level and having a condensed version of our tree, without base stats, it doesn't seem too bad. Taking stat nodes to get to the juicy parts is boring as hell, although I wouldn't say that's a major pigeonholing factor, we got much more serious offenders.

Such a tree would probably be much harder to pull off without making us take a crapload of bonuses we don't need. Fortunately, there's a lot of stuff most builds need: resists, life/es, general defenses, move speed, attack/cast speed, some form of damage boost...
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

People speak of choices and you can "be anything" The only choices I see are which defense nodes to pick first. I just keep picking the health nodes because nothing else seems to matter.
