I have been dying to try cyclone ever since I started PoE and now I will try your build. Im going to re-roll my lvl 78 duelist with this spec. This is the gear I have so far:
Spoiler
Would you please tell me which nodes do I take first on the Lvl 78 respec? Also, thanks for such an amazing build and descriptive guide :) |

" Hi, thanks for the interest. I have altered my build to be level 78 and 96 points. I have replicated a similar dagger to yours and included in the build: LVL 78 Cyclonus This is how i would respec it. I had to use my own jewellery to fill it out. stats: life: 3.6k Dps with a 5L: - 89k with 4/4 power charges - 72k with 0/4 power charges Block 40% If you haven't gathered the rest of the equipment yet, remember to get life leech from somewhere, 4% is enough for acuity gloves. I suggest getting the leech from the amulet. What I would take next is berzerking and then finish the dual wield wheel at the bottom. Good luck with your testing! As a side note, critical weakness has become Assassin's mark, granting life and mana gain on kill and also a chance to gain power charges. This could remove the need for a secondary cyclone as you can manually cast assassins mark on a group of mobs and build your power charges with the main attack. I will test this out tomorrow. Also, get busy farming/buying hopes, and use an uber service for the gloves. After the patch hits, there will be no more gloves So many strikes within one breath. But only one strike needed, for certain death. Last edited by fiqst on Aug 20, 2014, 3:24:19 AM

I have a question about why no need blood magic??
I don't have enough mana to run cyclone.... but I equip blood magic and life leech, it is lower DPS.... I am a newbie (LV 36), can you give me some suggestion in low level? | |
" I use a weapon called Soul Taker. It allows the use of melee skills even when you run out of mana. This build isn't made for low level gameplay, sorry. We take critical nodes that are far from the start and we use equipment that require a higher level to be equipped. If you wish to play a dual wield style that is great at any level, I suggest choosing the Blender build. So many strikes within one breath.

Have you updated the passive tree for this patch yet? I wanna try it out right after servers are up :)

1.2 First Draft
I will update everything in this thread once the update drops. It will take some time since I will have to update every picture and rewrite a lot of it. The tree here is how I will respec, it may be 1% off perfect and could be fine tuned further. So many strikes within one breath.

Some thoughts on the 1.2 update: The update has opened many new possibilities for the life/crit user. The tree has been improved for us: offensive nodes have been buffed, there are more crit nodes and there are more block nodes. These are a few of the changes in stats of this build over the pre-1.2: Budget Spec: 55k/81k -> 72k/107k (a gain of 17k/26k) Mid Spec: 119k/170k -> 167k/207k (a gain of 48k/37k) Advanced Spec: 182k/280k -> 253k/382k (a gain of 71k/102k) Block (all 3 builds): 33% -> 48% (a gain of 15%) Massive gains across all 3 builds. Belly of the Beast is the best life chest now, period. Koam's gives +500 and with a 137% modifier, it gives 1185 life by equipping it. But you can't use gems. Equipping a Belly from naked gives me 638 life. But it allows for 6 gems, this alone makes this chest more valuable to a life build than Koam's Assassin's Mark: The crit damage buff of this curse has dropped 40% but its still lethal. The 39% chance to gain a power charge on kill essentially replaces pcoc, but i keep pcoc there for boss fights. I haven't got my hands on either of the 2 herald gems yet, but i look forward to using them. Using 2 60% auras and 1 25% herald will require a 5% reduction passive but i think the gains are worth it. So many strikes within one breath. But only one strike needed, for certain death. Last edited by fiqst on Aug 21, 2014, 2:10:25 AM
