Blood Magic Crit Discharge with Malacahi's Simula
I want to try this build out, but I am thinking of building as a Witch. What would be more beneficial to the build? Cast Speed or Crit Chance, because I'm looking at 55% Crit Chance or 12% cast speed (this is in the right side of the beginning of the Witch's tree).

these gloves are really good for leveling this build. Before you get arc at lvl 19, the attack speed and cast speed helps alot, then after arc its amazing. |

I started as a witch and I'm level 60 right now.
Levelled with Arc+lightning pen+faster casting, freeze pulse+LMP+added lighting+added chaos and discharge+crit dmg+crit strikes. I also use a devouring totem+faster casting which helps a lot. Picked up Malachai's and Voll's as soon as I could equip them. Now I'm rushing for Vaal pact should be there before level 70. Maybe static blows/celestial walker/cast speed or faith and steel+life. Super fun and cheap build! The chance to Vaal +1% maximum resists on an amulet is less than 1/300.

It's bugging me that your 'better Shadow build' doesn't have the Critical Mass node. :-P

Casually rolling the build now in the one month, only lvl 77 6 days in. Laugh my way through maps and have no worries with reflect and porcupines while running a cwdt + immortal call setup. My only problem at the moment is single target. It's a pattern of running from the map boss to the juicy ice spear crit range then running back in for a 7 stack discharge that doesn't fully heal me. So my suggestion is make sure you keep mobs to kill with map bosses for the power charges they generate. Or come up with a better single target alternative (dunno if that's possible).

Been running this build also in he SC1M Its been great but the biggest issue I have is Porcupine Goliaths.

I plan on switching out my gloves for Voidbringers or Maligaro's once I can afford them and can make up 4% light res to get back to cap. Porcupine goliaths: A cwdt immortal call setup would save me from them but I simply dont have the links for one. Kaom's roots are the reason for this (getting stun desync while discharging is ungodly angering). For now I can pop a granite and pray and it works but I'm still only running lvl 68 maps. So my solution for this issue would be to drop vaal spark for cwdt immortal call, but this adds the issue of single target damage. Vaal spark has been my way of dealing with exiles/invaders/bosses (especially with crit) and losing it would make them much harder as it is hard to build charges and leech when everything else is dead. Is it worth dropping my vaal spark in order to increase the chances of surving goliaths or should I start thinking about dropping my Kaom's Roots?
