Wabachaw's RT/IG Molten Strike Ranger

I am in no way claiming I came up with this build. The build at the core is one of the standard HC melee builds and the addition of Iron Grip and Resolute Technique is something nearly everyone realized would be valuable for Molten Strike

My ranger ripped at 82 due to Vaal Cyclone bug. So I started to make this again as a Marauder in the 2 week race event.

What's up guys? So this will be the thread for my Ranger Molten Strike character on Invasion league. I leveled as a Double Strike/Spectral Throw ranger following Pohx's DS/ST One Handed guide. However, the gameplay got stale for my tastes without exceptional gear. Then came Molten Strike. Molten Strike is a very satisfying skill to use in Path of Exile, its damage scales very well into late game from what I can tell so far. Furthermore, I just modified my passive tree slightly (16 regrets total) to accomplish this.

There are a few things I would like to address for the viewers on my stream (or anyone interested for that matter) who wanted to check out this build. Right now, a few key pieces of my gear have accuracy on them which is a wasted stat when going Resolute Technique and also using Swords is a wasted implicit. Because of this I will be aiming for either a Soul Taker, no blood magic gem means a 5th or 6th offensive support gem, or a GG one handed axe. BUT you are by no means locked to axes, you can easily use a one handed mace or maybe even a claw/fist weapon. The point is to make sure the implicit of the weapon is not wasted because of RT (see Daggers/Swords) Axes just have higher base damage because of no implicit and By The Blade is a fantastic node for damage and HP. The DPS you see on these tooltips is using a less than optimal spec and gear set up. Properly specced and geared, this already enjoyable build will be that much better.

On a side note, I personally do not believe the Ranger to be the best fit for this type of build. Either Templar, Marauder or Duelist would probably be better. Also, I am not entirely sure Iron Grip actually buffs the projectiles Molten Strike produces. Will be looking for absolute clarification on this question within the next week.

I will update this more with my new gear and up to date passives as it comes.
