This is going to be my first ever CI build attempt. I was fooling around with POE builder and calculated that I need 732 ES on gear just to get a little over 2000 ES.

I've read that you should have enough ES to get 2000 after respec when starting Act 1 in Merciless?

I currently at lvl 62 can run two auras which I chose Hatred and Grace..

im thinking about doing this build as a marauder

+15%phys melee
+1 max all res
+1 max fire res
+ (-)20% dmg from crits

-10% eva
-9% AIS
-32% ES
-7% MS

Possibly with drop of IR and getting AR instead of EV (loosing Alpha's Howl) which could lead to slightly different itemization or maybe boosting dmg / going for additional endurance charge.

Thinking of it, it might be probably off topic as forum is focused on Shadow :) Marauders are just bigger :)

I rolled Shrine with 4 extra projectiles and 92% light damage. To simulate minus max res I turned off Purity of Light and took Enduring Cry from socket, so I had 70% light res, what would be 24-26% minus max res and just facetanked Piety. If you roll similar map you can whisp me in game Fri_Itanz_Plax and I can prove you that she's easy with any map mods.

Forgot how I died the first time, 2nd time to Merciless vaal laser (could have lived but I panicked and messed up).







What did you guys do when you hit 56 but didn't have ES gear yet? I went to get Iron reflexes and respecced out of the Acrobatic nodes. I also got the intelligence and flask nodes in the witch area, and also the three 8% life nodes there too. Did you guys do this too? I was thinking about getting more life nodes since I can't get into my ES gear yet...

Also I'm confused with aura nodes... did you get the aura nodes in the shadow area first, then run across to the templar area to get the big circle of aura nodes, then continue to get the armour/es circle?

OR

Did you run across the templar side to get the armour/es nodes then res techinque and unwavering stance and then get the aura nodes?

And how much dps would you say 20% of all your physical gems will add? I'm at 18k dps with all my gems around level 16 with no q
