GGGs reasoning on not making a SFL?

The whole problem is that playing self found isn't viable for end game unless you are willing to put in thousands of hours of repetitive grinding (which is as boring as watching paint dry). It is a game, it is not meant to feel like a chore!! It reminds me of those old people who sit at the casino all day doing the same thing waiting for that 777 on those slot machines.

Basically u resumed the game, but u can with masters and some currency force a 3 cherry ^^ But yeah the 777 can only be obtain by luck or by industrial play style = very very few players and GGG staff.

"
What people are really saying here is: "please GGG for the love of God i do not have the time to grind shit for thousands of hours, i have a life outside of my gaming hobby but I would still like to play the end game".

Those people are not the target audience, but thankfully they still come, play thousands of hours and put money in it. Of frack I'm this guy !

GGG makes every kind of league there is but they cant make a self found league even if only like 10 people want to play it?

Obviously creating leagues are no biggie. They create hundreds every season calling them races.

My explanation is their bread and butter is selling MTX and you're less likly to buy when you see less people with nice stuff and don't need all the stash for trading.

I vote affirmative on SFL even though I'd never play it. RNG is not my thing. Trading is. But more options are good for some types of player who seek recognition for playing this way.

It would probably require a lot of additional work on the developers part, for something that only a few players would ultimately use but an option to play self found upon character creation could be one solution, that doesn't require a playerbase dividing separate league.

The work required I'd imagine would be in making self found players loot distribution all bound to character and that character only being able to use their own bound loot and nothing from their other characters, while sharing the same stash.

This would allow self found and trade players to co-exist and maybe even form a sort of healthy competition, which would be great for the game.

It wouldn't be 100% pure self found as obviously the self found players would still benefit from playing with non self found players but that's never been at the heart of the issue. It has been trade. Benefiting from a non self found player is secondary to being able to trade for anything in the game.

I don't want to get into a philosophical argument because that's all this will turn into but a mere option to create a, "self-found" character with a few careful programming considerations should be sufficient.

But it seems to me like self found players don't really want self found. They just want a huge loot drop buff and I'm against that. Real self found plays by the same rules, without trade.

im pretty sure no one playing in this league would seek recognition they would just play and not talk to anyone and just make threads of there daily progression like items they found or crafted

all they would have to do is make an offline version of the game... would just be like in diablo 2...

I don't get this.

How can a play style that:
Liquidates any drop of value.
Liquidates a character's full gear set when no longer playing it.
Gears new characters/builds from outside the stash, i.e. other people.
Resolves a stat problem by simple poe.trade for the exact stats required on a single item.

Ever need more stash space than a play style that:
Doesn't liquidate any drop of value.
Retains the full gear sets of any character ever played.
Gears new character/builds from the stash.
Resolves a stat problem by searching through the many items hoarded, juggling items around so the problem is eventually solved by changing 3, maybe 4 pieces.

Or more the question, why would you ever think playing self found doesn't require space. A FUCK TON OF SPACE.
Casually casual.

Hmm maybe I dont save much really Have like 5 stash tabs for personal gear and can build many builds 15 tabs are trading ones. I guess it varies. I mean like what you need One wand. One dagger. Maybe couple three 6L but all you really need is shavs for everything best for the north tree builds and lightning coil for south tree builds... tri rests helm one with life one ES stuff like that.
