Guys, What are your thoughts on Bones of Ullr? Maybe not viable late-game due to low stats?

bones of ullr is a must-have for any 'full-time' summoner who uses spectres as main damage source. +1 spectres is huge, and unlike the wand, it comes with no tradeoff besides low stats.

amulet is definitely not an end-game item though, and the wand really only works on low-life builds.

the beauty of being a summoner is that we are very flexible in terms of gear. we dont need cast speed or spell damage on our gear, so its pretty damn cheap to have a viable end-game build. boots don't really significantly gimp things imo. they still have some life mana and ES, and have ok movespeed.

Aegis- imo not worth it at all. Gimping your survivability by a lot, all to preserve spectre life.

EB- this is a big decision, so you have to be ready to know what exactly you want with it. Losing all of ES buffer hurts, so you have to figure out the auras you want to run.

I personally run EB on my lvl 79 summoner, and I run determination, grace, haste, discipline ,anger, clarity and most importantly high level arctic armor, which kinda helps to offset the ES loss a bit (but not fully)
if you arent planning to do lots of auras and you have a good amount of ES, might not be the right keystone. it is definitely fun though.

Ok.
For now, I only run clarity + wrath. I would be happy to run purity though. I think I'll wait til I'm high level and figure out if I can afford some loss of survivability or not ;)
purity imo is nearly required for summoners.
not only does it give pretty insane bonus for the player, but also it prevents minions from dying from sneezes of elemental damage.

Good point !
But do you think it is possible to run wrath + clarity + purity without EB ? With my former witch (cold crit), I had only clarity + discipline (both with reduced mana) but there was no way for me to put purity.

yes. reduced mana+ purity puts you <30% mana reserved in the endgame
only level clarity when you feel you dont get enough regen. wrath is trivial. you get mana from int as a witch so even without EB one 40% aura, clarity and wrath should be really easy
Is this build still op with the latest patch? looks like a fun build to use.
I've read that it's even more powerful than before ^^

So far it's working fine for me, having a lot of fun, no difficulty at all (lvl 50)
I have had a level 85, 68, 63, and 61 summoner so far. All the same build EXCEPT that I don't use ARC, I use firestorm.

My level 85, (R.I.P.) was two patches ago and he steamrolled end game once he got gear. I died from carelessness, I was literally facerolling.

The hardest challenge for me with this build is when you are 60-65 range in Act 2 merciless and you need to gear up. Vaal WILL one shot you with his ground slam and the rock fall will 2 shot you. The issue is needing high life and reasonable armor which seems very hard to get.

Currently in Onslaught, level 61, and I am gear starved so I am just farming 60-61 areas in Act 2 merciless praying.

I only have 1750 HP and 350 ES in merciless. Max resists and -36% chaos....

Once you get the gear to get past that hump, it becomes a cakewalk. By far my favorite build in the game and I just wish it was slightly easier to farm gear.

Hi there !

A friend of mine droped Queen's decree and Matua Tupana.

I wonder which one I should use. The shield is great to put summon spirits + minion dmg + gmp, and has the advantage to be one handed i.e. I can also use a wand (which enables to get much more %spell dmg for arc).

However, the sword has a +1 ti max spectre, which is a huge boost imo (not to speak about the health and minion damage.

Which one do you think I should use ?
Really no idea ? :p
