First off: Thanks!

Yes, Templar and Shadow are also following the exact same build that i made. The only difference is that they have to connect the two parts differently.

Either you 'waste' 1 point and skill the Lord of the dead node at the witch start to connect to the life points. OR you connect the left and right side of the tree via the Energy Shield Circle above the Scion starting area.

Few changes, mostly taking the MOM keystone and iron reflexes for a bit more defense. Shouldn't have any issues running artic armour if you do there are plenty of regen/mana nodes to pick up along the tree. Witch is the better way to go but I have a shadow that's begging for a respec and this looks like a perfect fit so I thought I'd share. Also the life regen is just preference life leech would certainly be enough.


I am sitting at 5602 life currently. Additional mana between 680 and 1500 depending on auras.

Regarding your build:
If you go for iron reflexes you will have to go for grace and aura efficiency to really get at least some use out of the keystone. That will leave you with less mana.

If you want to watch me doing the shrine map you will notice that i'm taking almost no damage at all. with immortal call armor feels almost 100% useless to me. i am not taking any damage, why bother with mitigation?
Life regeneration is awesome, i would get as much as possible, it helps out with about any difficult fight.

One recommendation:
Travel the left side of the middle, grab equilibrium and shaper. both are very strong nodes.

Could you please explain why I should have both Detonate Dead AND Flameblast? Focusing on just DD frees up so many points, and makes gearing simpler, after all.

You only have so much time in combat, after all, and only so many gems slots, and toolbar skills.

By the way, leveling up my own DD Templar, and Thousand Ribbons was viable all the way until I could use a 5L CoD. It's a 5L in disguise.

Can't wait until I can use:

I don't think focussing on detonate dead alone would free up a single point.
Every single point that i skill is useful for almost all my skills.

Cast Speed for all skills. Every single one.
Spell Damage for Flameblast, Lightning Warp, Molten Shell.
Mana + Mana regen for skills AND for Mind Over Matter.

To explain why i would recommend using both:

Detonate Dead is fast and strong and unflexible (corpses, charges on desecrate)
Flameblast is unlimited damage and slow and flexible (stage 1 flameblast as opposed to stage 10 flameblast)

Watch me killing piety / atziri fight and you might rethink your stance on using both skills.

They are working perfectly hand in hand.

You trigger equilibrium with either Cast when damage taken ice nova / arc or Selfcast Arc or Lightning Warp.

Then you channel a stage 10 flameblast.

Then you trigger equilibrium again with arc / ice nova to increase burn damage.

I get hit on purpose from Atziri's normal flameblasts to make my level 1 arc trigger to reduce her resistances.

Dont ever get hit by the storm calls more than once. You saw what happens when you get hit more than once.

desecrate - make corpses
detonate - detonate corpses with ignite chance and ignite proliferation to kill everything in a big area for a long time.

still don't really see the purpose of why you want to see it (as i said, just get as much as you can get of everything defensive wise, get a bit of damage offensively, may stats by now are 800 hp higher and my damage is 50% higher on screen (PLUS elemental equilibrium that i didnt have back at the beginning) than when i first killed atziri) but here you go:



i dont see how this build is "tanky" by every means

sure u have CoD with MoM and also the long immortal call

but that is not going to save you from an instakill from many unevadable dmg spikes from invasion/corrupted area bosses (ie. Cintiq ek spider, bear traps, RT exiles/bosses)
yea u can beat atziri but any any of the above will kill u before u reach there.

also other than hp u did not take a single armour/ev node

not entirely tanky and invasion viable unless changes are made. but nevertheless good for ambush/sc at least
