[1.1.x] The Incandescent Striker - [no update for 1.2]

dont have time atm to lvl scion to high enough lvl to do the test ST build (and i dont have ST on standard) so i used poebuilder to create 333pdps corsair sword and a siege axe (130%ipd - 110%ipd+20%Q, 9-19phys, 23%ias) with similar dps to an average non-legacy ST
setup used for testing was (all 20/20 gems):
double strike + multistrike + melee phys + pyhs dmg on full life + faster attacks + splash

with scion+axe nodes skill tree and 6L double strike pdps is 7301.3
with witch+sword nodes skill tree and 6L double strike pdps is 7264.3

conclusion is, that ST is better as long as you can get a decent version (130+ ipd, 23+ ias), dmg jumps to 8k pdps
but if you can get more then 350pdps 1h sword or axe, its way better to go with mana based version posted in first post by Enki

Spoiler
since i'm doing the comparisons already, with near perfect legacy ST dps would go to:
9.4k pdps/15.6k with hatred and double strike as main skill
6k pdps/12.5k with hatred and cyclone as main skill
4k pdps/10.5k with hatred and infernal blow
10.6k pdps/17.7 with hatred and heavy strike

heavy strike and infernal blow setups were same as double strike
cyclone setup used for testing was (20/20 gems):
cyclone + melee phys + pyhs dmg on full life + faster attacks + conc effect + added fire

i really like the build and will probably reroll to scion sometime in the future
looking forward to the videos, Enki, so hurry up linking the chest back to 5L :D

Can u show how step by step passive skill tree ?

I mean on 20 lvl 40 lvl 60 lvl 80 lvl etc etc ??

Beacouse i dont know which way go first in this O_o
1) get all the gear (you'll need around 40-60 exa for the gear from first post, depending on the league you play in)
2) level as a life build
3) respec to CI at lvl 80+

Pretty much what ogrec said.

I didn't level with this build yet, just respecced from my old Incinerator because they share the same core CI Aegis tree skeleton.
For leveling, i'd recommend get into shadow first, take the DPS nodes and then collect all Armour/ES and block nodes on the left side. Leave out ES and aura nodes for now and take Life nodes instead. Once you got good ES gear around Lv70, respec out of all life and go for CI and GR. It's important that you take both at the same time, in order to be able to leech ES.
After that, make your way to US and then fill up all leftover nodes, preferably ES first.

@ogrec: Looks like both wouldn't be too far off then, unless you got a really good sword.

1500 fusings in, still got no 6L.

Lovely build idea! I noticed you have a legacy Aegis with 4% health restore. At 2%, is it still even worth it? Does the build actually require it at all?

Thanks! New Aegis should work just fine, but i'd get some more leech on rings to be on the safer side.
Haven't really tested other shields for this build, you may get away with a good Kite Shield with high ES if the mapmods aren't too extreme.

sounds awesome build, plz post videos in hard bosses/maps
I've been planning out a 1-h Mace/Shield Lightning Strike build, and the passive tree is quite similar to yours (probably about 75% the same.) I was thinking of using the Templar start area, but the Witch area would get me more ES.

A few things though:
I've been really wondering about using VP or not. It's 4 points to get in my tree. Or I can get Zealot's Oath and Shaper for 3 points, if I'm using Templar.
I was worried about having mana issues. Lightning Strike has a higher mana cost. Would Clarity be good or not?
I'd test these things myself but I don't really want to commit into leveling up this character yet.
Grace + IR is something I've been thinking, but I don't know if I could pull it off while maintaining a good DPS for clearing, and enough unreserved mana for my skills.

Here is mine with Templar start:

Witch start:

Using Incandescent Heart and Aegis Aurora. I already have an Incandescent Heart (5l.)
