Just tried that too... Very nice increase in tooltip DPS.

I'm just wondering if using lightning penetration wouldn't give you a higher DPS overall (even if it's not displayed on the tooltip) due to the reduction of resistance.

Also, shock-stacking mobs will be harder since you're dealing 30% less damager per arc.

You would replace Empower/Faster Casting not Lightning Pen IMO

Give a fuck aboout your totem and put them all together in your 6l and add ll or something like this

Yes, I actually just sat down and made the calculations and lightning penetration will beat faster casting.

If empower is only level 2, faster casting would add more damage than empower (but empower would increase the single hit damage, i.e. increase the shock duration / chance to shock).

Hey guy if i don't have the empower gem, i can use Spell echo?

Replacing pen with echo gave me about a 28% tooltip increase. Removing my lvl1 empower from that is like a 9% drop. Noticeable difference in clear speed(faster).

Tried replacing arc with ball lighting. Cool spell but I don't think it compares at all to the functionality of arc, at least not for this setup.

That's because pen doesn't affect your tooltip. Lightning Pen is WAY better than echo. Everything without lightning resist will melt immediately with either gem. Everything with high lightning resist will take forever to die without lightning pen.

Thx for this guide ! I always wanted to do a build with this skill, because I love its skin. But I was always frustrated because it was so weak before ...

I'm thinking of making an arc witch for the 1 month HC race. So basically, the idea is to think of a much more safer version of this build. In terms of survivability, do you think it is better to keep the arctic armor config or to abandon arctic armor without taking eb (ie life + energy shield build) ?
