The majority of invasion bosses are just ridiculous.
The red goat, the trappers, the totems, both discharge bosses, are extremely unbalanced. Who even bothers with the golem? And the constant regen behemoth thing that can barely hurt anyone but yet no one can do enough DPS to kill it...Everyone skips all of them in normal, cruel, and merci. Only people at end game fight them. There is just no way to gear up good enough for the early versions and instead of challenges invasion bosses have become obstacles.
Also invasion has taught me that the witch start is just awful......Everything else is much easier to level up. I was having fun the first week the league opened and now I am just annoyed. Last edited by johnce6#2478 on Apr 6, 2014, 3:31:14 AM

Maybe hardcore mode isn't for you. There's only a very few invasion bosses that's actually unbalanced. The discharge bosses are extremely easy to kill.

They are supposed to be ridiculous.
The problem is that instead of being received by the playerbase as the fun kind of ridiculous, it seems to have been received as the shitty kind of ridiculous. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

" Maybe because they are indeed not fun? Else they wouldn't be skipped most of the time. When night falls

They're fine where they are, in a league where you're expected to die.
I really hope they don't put them into the parent leagues though. Power creep is bad... m'kay? |

" Because there's not even a chance to fight some of them, you just straight die without a chance to outplay the mob with superior positioning and reactions. |

I up to this day do not know how The Metalsmith passed into release version. He is STILL absurdly broken for 99% builds
Game == challenge. There is no challenge in 1shoot mechanics. It is like 'russian roulete pro player' |

Exiles were a lot easier in Anarchy, because they were easy to notice and get away from. Even their damage was lower. In invasion you never know what lurks around the corner to one-shot you. You have to play slower, more carefully. Especially if you are solo.
GGG found another way to promote party play, so congrats to them. I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready.

" Yeah, so when you are doing Acts 1-3 on normal you just fight everyone you see and win right? LOL...and how about cruel? and then merci versions? Lets see you reroll and video acts 1-3 normal and you fighting the invasion bosses the whole way through. Quit with the, "maybe hardcore just isn't for you" bs. Everyone skips that shit in normal, cruel, and beginning out in merci because they are impossible to be geared for. It is getting harder and harder to find groups for anything because of population decline due to one shot or death in 1-2 seconds mechanics. Vaal is a fun fight solo and could be a little harder grouping...that is a fun fight like Dominus...invasion bosses are merely obstacles to be avoided. The risk vs. reward for corrupted zones and invasion bosses warrants nothing other than avoidance alone. No one with a brain wastes time fighting the early versions especially because the loot and time sink just isn't worth it at all. Last edited by johnce6#2478 on Apr 6, 2014, 4:16:28 PM
