Ty...been trying this build and am L40...still working out the mechanics and I am running out of mana currently but I'm having a great time!!!

Question:why the 2flame totems setup on the gear?
Also why 2trap set ups?
Thanks

I'm not a very experienced player but from what i've noticed:

The first totem is his 6link which is his main skill, the second totem is a 4link with culling strike. By my understanding of culling strike it kills enemies instantly when they drop below a certain health %? So to quicken kills I'd assume thats why he has that. I'm not sure if its necessary if you have that unique royal skean he has though?

The shock traps are awesome. Throw em out and they apply the shock status effect to enemies, which increases the damage they take from all incoming damage sources.

The conversion traps i'm not sure when we should be using these. I'm not certain how often these are used as an offense measure or as a defensive measure. When you find yourself in the middle of a hoard of enemies throw a couple down to lessen the incoming damage on you? That's how I've been using them at least. Then again, I am on a lower difficulty and havent really had the need for them yet from an offensive stand point. It seems the duration of the conversion isn't very long. Maybe when it levels up?

The 2nd shield isnt used for skills its only used on shield swapping.

If you read the first page it says i have the royalskean heartbreaker so i can keep in faster projectiles in my 6l and have culling strike as 7th link.

Solo you lose dps when using heartbreaker and dont need culling, im also using an 6l and 4l because i solo'ed alot back then, and with 300+ base rarity trust me you find enough stuff.
The 2nd totem is just there to cull rares/beyond mobs/bosses.

Evasion is not so good, armor is better for helm, chest is good for 6l but nothing else i think.
What do u think about using Doryani's Catalyst and Doryani's Invitation?
Invitation will lower your iiq by at lest 8%, but I guess Doryani Catalyst is quite good choice if "1% of Elemental Damage Leeched as Life" actually works with this build. What do u guys think?

OK, hit L58 with this build and loving it!

Now a noob question...What does Blood magic do and why is it beneficial? Im not understanding why it is good to drop all our mana and use health to use skills?

on that note how does Mortal Conviction work and why is it advantageous?

Please explain and I THANK YOU all in advance...at L58 I still have not taken either one of those on the tree

Thank you

Blood magic allows you use your health for your spells instead of mana. The way this spec works, you have enough life regen to make your spells cost next to nothing really. Totem and curses will be your most mana consuming spells. With your health pool in the multiple thousands range the 100-200 mana per spell is hardly noticeable when you cast, and your health regens so fast, you wouldn't even think you were spending health for your spells most the time if you werent looking for it.

I haven't taken mortal conviction myself, as this build has no auras. When you use aura's (if you haven't before) they reserve a certain amount of your mana pool (with blood magic it would be health) Some auras are a set % that don't change, others are a number that usually increases as you increase the aura level(leveling it up) This amount whatever it is, will be greyed out on your mana globe (or in this case health globe with blood magic) meaning that the amount reserved is no longer available to you. For instance: If you took purity of lightning it reserves 40% of your mana (or in this case health) so if you had 1000 life, you would now have 600 with the aura active, with 400 on reserve. So when it says reduced mana reserve 60%, it would reduce the amount reserved by 60% of what the aura requires. the 400 that was reserved without mortal conviction, would then be divided by 60%, and this would be your new reserved amount. 400x.6=240, 400-240=160. So instead of losing 400 health to use that aura, you would only lose 160. If you plan to use any auras, I would definitely grab Mortal Conviction. Without question.

As for blood magic, I have been using it with this build I took it as soon as possible(between 15 and 20ish idr when you can get it) and ive never regretted it. Being able to use my skills endlessly with no consequence is amazing. Now that I can use 2 curses, I geta little curse happy triple casting each one on each initiation lol and I notice me taking myself down to 3/4ish life. Really though, if you end up with alot of life it shouldn't be a problem. I usually spam my curses intentionally to get my life down in order to use the divination distillate, because I am not injured when i need to use it and you can only receive the rarity and quantity bonus while the flask is actively healing you.
So, I noticed you have 2 totems set up, mind I ask how exactly do you use them? Also I managed to get my hands on a IIQ gem, can that be implemented into the build somehow?
Spoiler

So i have collected this gear with the help of some of the uniques ive found, what is the next best upgrade to go for with this gear?

Also love the build thanks for sharing.
