Panzers Corrupted Lightning Arrow Build (Invasion)

This is the build I came up with for the new Invasion league using these two items instead of LMP.

You will likely be having problems leveling wrath because of the lack of int. Take int nodes as you need them, you can unspec them later. A lapis amulet is also a must. It's important to have that int because wrath is the majority of your damage, try not to let it fall behind in levels.

The rest of my gear

A very strong and safe build which doesn't require much gear. Currently i'm level 86 and only within the past two levels started getting gear which stacked armor. Have been doing 75 maps without a problem, but naturally I have been skipping some bosses that just aren't worth killing.. mostly map bosses such as Weaver, the crazy totem/laser beam boss, etc..

The shitty bow is compensated by now having to take a damage penalty from using LMP, allowing you to run Lightning Arrow in a 5 link just like pre-1.0.

Gems
5 Link

Auras

Single Target
Elemental Hit OR

with

Curse

This should leave you with an extra 4link. Be creative! Depending on the corrupted bow you get, you may not have much option since you can't change the sockets (like mine currently) but ideally, I would like to have my single target in the bow (a RRGG bow) and I could put in my armor gloves two CWDTs, one level 1 and 1 level 20. Level 1 linked with Enduring cry and the Level 20 linked with Vaal Immortal Call. A Cast when Stunned linked with a regular immortal call is also very good... i've been wanting to try this vaal one though. Another option is Bear Trap + Rarity + Culling + Blood Magic.

I don't use IR or Unwavering, which allows me to still dodge a little bit on top of my 7.1k armour. Naturally, you could get some reduced mana reserved (or even an alpha howl) and run a third aura such as grace or determination. The first two auras being Wrath and Anger... or get really cheeky and run Wrath and Anger with a level 2+ empower.

Other than that it's a very easy build which is easy to customize, and can be started at Duelist, Ranger, or even Shadow without very much change to the build I linked above. I leveled as split arrow until I got a +1 arrow quiver, and even with only 2 arrows total the build was faceroll enough to do 66 and 67 maps. I didn't end up getting my +1 arrows bow until the late 70's.

If you watch the video, you'll notice that I have a searing bond. It helps with things such as shroud walker and other mobs that have heavy lightning resistance such as rolly golems. It also works as a decoy totem too sortof, so it's not a bad gem to level up.. or level as, frankly.

As far as leveling goes, so long as you get Catalyse in Templar it should be enough damage, and from there just stack health. Grab berserking when you feel it's appropriate, and after that theres some Weapon Ele and Proj Damage nodes in Duelist and around Ranger which are worth grabbing.

first time i hear of someone owing you currency for a build you didnt play well
( -(oo)-")
nice build, do you think it can work with Death's Harp Death Bow?
What do you think about getting some aura nodes and running lightning coil with purity of lightning?

You would need to get a lot of attack speed in the tree since deaths harp is such a slow bow. Elemental damage gets its biggest dps increase from faster attacks. It could certainly be usable until you got a decent +1 arrow bow.

I love lightning coil, so I think it could work very well. I would add to your suggestion and say grab an Alpha Howl while you're at it. You may not even need aura nodes with a 20% reduced mana.

Edit: just tried on the mana reserve calculator, with an alpha howl and a level 20 reduced mana, you would only need one 5% reduced mana reserved node from the tree.

cool build. Just wanted to try something like this.

What do you think about this passive tree?

-12 all res, -2.5% hp regen and some projectile dmg but + 2% to max res, +8% chaos res, more hp, attack speed and int.
It looks better for me, but im not sure about hp regen. Is it so important for this build?

And what do you think about Quil Rain with "adds aditional arrow" in this build?

Life regen is huge, i'm sitting at almost 500 (600 in party with vitality) per second and it feels like I have a flask up all the time. It directly combats things like puncture and chaos.. imagine standing in a desecrate (a few of the invader bosses cast this) and it does 1000 damage (just an example) per second. With 500 life per second, you'd only receive half of that damage. I think you'd be better off getting all the life regen you can and skipping out on the chaos res at the top of the tree, using those points for life regen or damage.

As for quill rain, I have tried it. I wanted it to work so bad but it halves your damage (a level 20 wrath which does 18-282 would become 9-141). You might be able to get it to work by making a build that involved a lot of aura buffing nodes in the tree, but at that rate you may as well just use a thicket with ias.

Have u considered using the Windripper instead of an extra arrow?
