[ 2.0 ] Vaal Pact Dual Claw Build Level 92 ( Atziri Viable + BOTW S: 2 EP: 9 )

This is what I'm using so far. That belt would be awfully convenient to have. I might see if I can pick it up.

I could also switch to a strength amulet I suppose. Getting the strength now isn't terribly difficult, but I'm worried about when Melee Splash starts to require a bit more strength later on. I only have a level 50, so I'm pretty restricted as far as what gear I have access to right now.
I'm doing nothing with power charge as of yet. I also haven't put flicker strike into my build yet though so we'll see what happens when I decide to do that. I'm still debating whether or not I want to keep 2x CWDT 4L's going. If I get rid of one of them, then I may put a flicker strike / power charge on crit / multistrike / blood magic together to get the charges up but if I do that, then I'd want to take the extra charge in the shadow tree at the very least. I'm not much for using charges unless they're REALLY helpful. As it sits endurance charges are the most helpful as immortal call can save your life multiple times in the matter of a minute if you're in a tough pack of mobs. I know there is a cool-down on the cast of it BUT even in my videos you can see a few times where it procs mutliple times at just the right moment ..

Once I'm level 80 I'll make a decision on that but for leveling purposes my current setup works perfect. I changed a few minor things gear wise to get a little more dps and to have blood rage there in case I'm doing a simple map and want some more clear speed.

Shows my current links. The miss gem in the helm could be a low level enfeeble or a critical weakness. The red slot in the claw is for a blood magic that I apparently don't currently have. Below is my current passive build as well.

Yo just finished levelling my character to point 40 ( level 34 ). You might want a read the levelling section for some advise :) .. Yeah the belt is generally pretty cheap at 1 alc to 1 chaos so shouldn't be hard to get. ( go to poe xyz and switch on 'online only' to get it quick and easy )

You shouldn't be worry too much regarding your melee splash because there is a 30+ strength node near the dualist area :)

If you have any other questions let me know !! peace out !!

aaaah.. you've done some interesting things with your build

blood magic and skele Totem on CODT. Very nice

I am not too sure how effective Skele Totem is in late game but if its working for you,
its working :)

I think if you are going blood rage I would def get the blood dance boots, it is
so good for blood rage/Frenzy builds and there is also a unique glove that compliment
frenzy charge builds too !!
If I change my boots out, then I have to pick-up the res's somewhere else. It's an idea that I'll play with once I get full end-game gear. Right now the only two items I'll be using no matter what are the Blood Seeker and the Lightning Coil .. Everything else can be swapped out once I'm level 85+ with some good currency to spend on items. Unless I get any lucky drops that are usable.

:-)
Dralyne : just to let you know I have made the changes to your section of the guide :)
Thanks a lot buddy =) .. I'm thinking of picking up a carcass jack just to see what it feels like to be you with even more DPS in my build :-P ... I'm still going to run the coil all the time but may do it for fun.. haha! :-)

If you can get a 5 linked carcass jack for 2 ex then knock yourself silly but then again a 6 linked tabala rasa you will easily do much more damage and it cost 2 ex too but even less protection :(
Hello,

Important stuff first: Thanks for the Summon Skeleton-Gem! It serves me well.

Even more important stuff next: Your guide works well.

I started a new Shadow and took your guide as a template.

Right now, my Shadow has lvl19 and just started on act2

Resumee
For the first act, everything worked out quite well, except with Hailrake and his freezing arrows. All other deaths were more lack of knowledge/tactics than bad luck with RNG.
Maybe, a shield might have helped me with Hailrake, but as this is the only situation where I encountered problems (in detail: I got frozen 4times in a row and had only 2 small life-flasks) I am sure, either weapon-shield or dual-weapons ar both viable and should be decided by everyone on his own.

I went for dual wielding right away as I had a lucky drop of dual strike within 10minutes after starting my new hero. I decided to go for max damage on my weapons and it went really well. Mana was not an issue, as I killed most white mobs with 1 hit of the standard attack of either weapon. blue, yellow or boss monster, rogue exiles or vaal bosses were managable with my current amount of mana.

On my gear I put focus on evasion + added attributes, as I ran into leveling issues with my low dex during this first phase. Most of my gear were superior white trash which I orbed to something useful (no alchemy, only Trans, Alts, Augs).

I figured out, that I wouldn't use the attack speed increase "Blinding Speed" until later, as 4 out of 5 white mobs are still killed with 1 hit.

After I got the Clarity-Gem, I switched to Reave and Dual Strike, combined with Storm Call, Traps and Detonate Dead once a while. Right now, I start to get the other attributes besides Intelligence up and get a more open choice of equipment to keep my gems leveling.

Right now, act2 awaits me...
When I finish this, I'll add an update...

Thanks for sharing and thanks again for the Summon-Gem.

(Did you really get Increased Critical Hit offered during your testing? I only got offered Increased Critical Damage. )

Against Hailrake what you need is two cold resistance rings. This should keep you out of trouble and what I would do is fire trap him if you are having difficulty ( Please read levelling guide 1 to 20 for more tips on making life easy for yourself )

odd choice to go with reave later on because Reave only hit with one weapon at a time which means there is no real point in dual wielding. It makes more sense to go 'double strike and reave' with shield whilst at the same time continue to level up your dual strike in another gem slot. When you go to Act 2 and kill the big spider boss you should recieve melee splash which mean you can drop reave because you can link it with dual strike.

mmnnhh and true you don't really need faster attack until later on in the game.. It is better to do more damage for more mana leech.

Yes I mean increase critical damage .. I'll change it quick

and THANK YOU for using my Build as a template :) If you got any questions let me know
